I believe Tressel's suspension was issued by OSU...not the NCAA. They're still "investigating".

Brian Baldinger just said on the radio show that his sources tell him that Tressel will not be the head coach by the end of the day. Take that for what it's worth. He's adamant that his sources are correct.

LOL he was wrong on this one. The other day a caller asked him about his original comments, and baldy just weaseled out and said that Tressel will be fired after the season.

if he a player lied about something that wasn't against the rules, shouldn't a coach get the same if not longer for lying about something that is?

Since the NCAA says that Tressel knowingly used ineligible players, it would seem probable that the 2010 regular season would be vacated—ending the Buckeyes’ run of Big Ten titles at six in a row. The NCAA could also come down hard on Tressel, compelling Ohio State to add to Tressel’s suspension or issue sanctions leading to the school firing him.
