Dez Bryant is imploding even faster than I thought he would

    I love this...

According to court documents, Dez Bryant received roughly $200,000 in jewelry while playing at Oklahoma State.
We already knew that Bryant had the jewelry before last year's draft, so the court documents come as no surprise. It's a violation of college rules, of course, and Oklahoma State plans to conduct an investigation and then notify the NCAA. Now that Bryant is no longer in college, the NCAA will concentrate on the school's complicity in the violation

The only thing imploding faster then Dez Bryant is Demaryius Thomas's Achilles.

Bryant had 343 all-purpose yards and three TDs in my Madden game today...won me the game.

        True story.

lol I would LOVE the opportunity to get a glance at the personal bank accounts of certain players on the Denver Broncos and for that matter, the rest of the league.

Well, at least the minority players who grew up in poverty.

Regardless, get at me when he's even accused of rape, assault, drug use or even petty theft.

Far as im concerned you're not allowed until he at least pulls a Darrent Williams.

                No, I mean Darrent Williams.

Though I guess you can throw a Cox or a Marshall in there too.

                Problem?

Darrent Williams wasn't a criminal. He cared about his community and worked heavily with the Boys and Girls Club in both Denver and his home town Fort Worth. He never embarrassed the organization, but he constantly gave back to the community. Shame on you for trying to tarnish his name, but it's no surprise you can't get your facts straight. You can't even follow your own damn team without jumping on and off the bandwagon five times every season.

I was woken up at two in the morning to be told Williams was shot. Weirdly one of the most devastating moments of my life.

Did I say he was? Dez Bryant isn't one either, yet that hasn't stopped the labelling going on here the last few days. Something tells me if he were to get shot this very evening because one of his friends decided to be a moron, people like you would have no problem blaming him for it, at the very least for palling around with such lowlifes.

Spare me on the B&G and "community" BS. Nearly every player in the league does the same exact things for them or a different group. It has little bearing on the type of person they truly are.

Not saying that was the case with Williams (I actually agree that he was a solid dude), just saying it means jack to me. I can recall some class A asshats who played for Dallas even back in the day who did that type of thing.

I'm not tarnishing a damn thing, bat mite. Certainly not like the OP - because as we all know, being a young and stupid (see: black and grew up in poverty so they have no idea how to manage money) professional athlete with financial troubles is not a widespread thing at all, and it's so rare indeed that when one player has them, he's "imploding".

I didn't call Darrent Williams a bad guy. I just said that glen isn't allowed to pile on unless Bryant commits a crime, or at the very least is assaulted (see: shot)because he decided to hang out at a nightclub with a bunch of thugs.

But I see how it goes. The poor little Bronco fans have no problem dishing it out, but they can't take it. More of the double standard I'm always talking about around here.

And bandwagon? You must be a fuckin moron. I may be a lot of things, but a wagon jumper is not one of them.

The irony of telling someone to "get their facts straight" when you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. :goblinslayer:

I remember finding out about it at 9 AM on New Year's Day, hungover as fuck. Pretty strange feeling, I just thought "oh, well ... shit."

You tried to compare the two, that's where the whole "get your facts straight" part of it came into play.
No I didn't. I simply said you can't say shit about Dez Bryant until he pulls something comparable to what one of your boys went through...even if it wasn't his fault, like what happened with Williams.

Maybe if you get off that kid's nuts we won't have to keep going through this. I get it. I understand you want to try and justify the fact that your team passed up on him for an inferior player last April. I've been there, trying to justify the Cowboys passing up Randy Moss for Greg Ellis and then watching the former spend the better part of 10 years shitting on the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys in particular while the latter didn't get a 10 sack season until 2007.

But I didn't pile on Randy Moss for weak shit like owing money or accepting what he thought was "free shit" in college. That happens far too often in the NCAA and NFL for it to be considered "imploding". Ask Mark Brunell or Dwight Freeney for starters.

Let Dez Bryant go. It's really quite sad.

                          Enjoy Demaryius Thomas.

Rayman, if you aren't at least a little bit concerned about Dez's personality and ego turning into a problem then I think you are all by yourself.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Dez Bryant has character issues and if he doesn't simmer down then he might develop into another TO/Moss type of WR that plays for a different team every few years.
