But hey, that's how the Bucs run shit now.
How many second round picks have as high a ceiling as Bowers? If Bowers lasts one contract and helps us get over our hump defensively, then I say it's worth it. He will be a solid player next season at LE.

Really liking our draft so far.

      - Ayers is horribly overrated

      - DT was the more pressing need we should have gone with Austin or Paea in the second

      - Foster/Moch/Houston/Wilson/Sheppard at least one would of been there in the third

      - Casey over Nevis or even Ellis?

      - The Colts getting Nevis makes it even worse

I have no problem with the positions we've drafted, it's the players we've picked/passed on that I take issue with. Honestly Woy, we could draft my granny and you'd be gushing about what a great pick it was, I really have no idea how you can be pleased with the way our draft has gone so far, you are definitely in the minority.

srs? There secondary was suspect. Only one guy was getting any pressure and he whiffed twice. They need defense. They gave up 3-5 potential starters over two drafts.
Their secondary will only get better. Grimes, Decoud, and Moore are all getting better. Dunta is still good.

Abraham had a great year. He's still not declining, somehow. Biermann was one of the best defensive players in the league last season, he is going to be a good one.

3-5 potential starters? You are assuming that. Julio Jones is basically a sure fire lock to step on the field and make an immediate impact. Tell me who they could have taken that would have stepped in and made an immediate impact on offense or defense right away. Jones instantly makes that team more explosive.

Did they overpay for him? Right now, yes. But we won't really know how badly until we see Jones. As always, time will tell.

Agreed. All of the guys drafted so far are potential impact starters this year. Very nice.

I mean ATL's defense only gave up 18 points a game, 5th in the league, but the only thing anyone can remember is the last game.

You have to wonder though, I would be bet a good amount of money that the Lions did look at CBs and or a LB, but they honestly didn't like any of them that were available. After Jimmy Smith, Peterson, and Prince, I didn't like a single CB out there. Then with the LBs this had to be one of the weakest classes with them.

While I was shocked and disappointed by the pick of Young he can stretch the field and you have to remember anything was better then Bryant Johnson. Burleson/Young should be a great compliment to Calvin.

Mikel Leshoure on the other hand is the thunder to Best speed. best was never going to be an everyday back. Hell the guy got hurt 3 times his rookie year. Leshoure has power for those short yardage situations but still has enough speed to split series with best, so they can both be fresh all season long.

Our draft was completely unpredictable. I actually didn't like any of the picks initially but looking at who was available, it made more sense and now I love our draft so far.

Even if they get better, the overall quality isn;t very good compared to other playoff caliber teams.

For the year, they were in the bottom 10 in passing yards, and the 4th worst in pass completion, 65% of passes were completed vs their defense.

Sure the scoring defense did a good job of bending and not breaking, but as a fan, the secondary just is not on par with any of the playoff teams.

Don't forget about Ozzie Newsome of the Ravens. He just filled two big needs with Jimmy and Torrey Smith. The Jah Reid pick was very questionable because they traded up to get a player that would have still been there.

Just like the Packers defense a year prior. It just means the defense was exposed when it mattered most.

I can breathe easy now that the Cardinals finally got a linebacker. Sam Acho is a solid pick.

                            Agreed on this. Good pick.
I know absolutely nothing about the TE we drafted..I'm guessing since the Cards never throw to the TE, he must be a blocker?
And as for the Ryan Williams pick...uhm..eh? I like the guy, don't get me wrong, but we've got 5 rb's now? Idk..I just hope its not LSH on the way out..

Got a speedster in Edmond Gates. 4.35 40 at the combine. Scouting report notes he is a bit of a project player, but explosive in the open field and isn't afraid to go over the middle.

                              PFW draft profile on him:
