    Todd Gurley!

Jan 13, 2012 - Todd Gurley, one of the top running backs in the country, has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Gurley stars for Tarboro (NC), and received more than 20 BCS offers. Gurley narrowed his choice down to a final four of North Carolina, Georgia, Clemson and N.C. State, ultimately narrowing it even more to UGA and Clemson.

Gurley is 6'0" and 205 pounds. He is considered a four-star prospect by most major services, and is rated as one of the top 20 backs in the country by all concerned.

How the fuck does Georgia recruit the Carolinas so well, Shark? They seem to be the only SEC school that gets N. Carolina kids consistently.

ND Insiders have been having a field day with ND's recruiting class lately. Ever since Darby decommitted everything has been on high alert. Reading some of these guys freak out you would think ND is gonna have to only land 2 star guys because everyone is leaving. There was even a Tee Shepard and Deontay Greenberry falling out going on for a couple weeks now. Which IMO aren't holding any ground since Tee is EE in a couple days.

There isn't really a direct link as far as I can tell. I also don't think it's as well as an outsider probably feels, it only averages out to about 1 kid from NC per year for the last 7 years or so.

Joe Cox, MoMass, Trinton Sturdivant, Makiri Pugh, Christian LeMay (2011), Keith Marshall & Todd Gurley (2012).

I guess that is pretty consistent, but it's not like they are coming in any great number.

They worked hard to get 4 guys from NC on their roster at once and just watched the Pipeline Bonus points pour in.

Yeah but it's the quality that sticks out more than the quantity. LeMay, Marshall, and MoMass were huge gets. There's not much D1 talent to go around in NC period, but the few blue chips they do have don't seem to have any interest in staying in-state.

                I would disagree with that.

OT Taylor Decker, a Notre Dame commit, has flipped to Ohio State. Urban strikes again.

Also, OG Joey O'Connor (A former Penn St. commit from before the Sandusky news broke), received his Ohio State offer. A commitment should be coming soon. With Kyle Dodson still in play, and Jordan Diamond as well, it's clear that Urban is intent on making up for Bollman's shortcomings right now.

Once ND has the OL coach in house this will change again more than likely.

Decker says ND "probably" doesn't have a chance of getting him back.

                      Here comes this soap opera.

From everything that's being said now, I doubt there is a soap opera. As always in recruiting, nothing is final until the LOI gets signed, though.

This is a kid who 2 or 3 days ago said he was still fully committed to ND. Then flipped now ND is out of the running?

                          I've seen this before.

Armond Armstead is being rumored to be on his way to ND right now, with Arik making his announcement as early as tomorrow.

Mike Frank from ISD and Pete Sampson from Rivals are confirming Armond is on his way to ND.

Arik took a OV to Auburn today and is planning to make his decision early this week.
