Baltimore Ravens
/27: CB Jimmy Smith [Colorado]
/58: WR Torrey Smith [Maryland]
/85: OT Jah Reid [Central Florida] (Eagles)
/123: WR Tandon Doss [Indiana]
/164: CB Chykie Brown [Texas] (Compensation)
/165: DE Pernell McPhee [Mississippi State] (Compensation)
/180: QB Tyrod Taylor [Virginia Tech] (Rams)
/225: RB Anthony Allen [Georgia Tech] (Eagles)
Review: The Ravens got a solid first round pick in CB Jimmy Smith, even after exceeding their 10 minute limit and going back a pick. Corner was easily their biggest need on a team that did not have too many needs. WR Torrey Smith fell to them in the second round, and they needed to get Flacco a "homerun target." Going into round 3 the Ravens took Jah Reid to add depth to the offensive line. Tandon Doss was an interesting pick. Flacco had Doss on his short list of players he wanted, and once again another player fell right into their lap, and they selected him. Later on they selected Tyrod Taylor, a highly known quarterback from Virginia Tech. This pick reminds me of when they picked Troy Smith late in the draft a few years ago. A very solid draft overall.
