If by Schaub they mean a player who does great things then no, he's more like Feely.

I don't understand...is it like that other article that asked if Jay Fiedler was more like Jon Kitna or Gus Frerotte?

And teams are reportedly offering first-round picks for this dude.

I watched him play against Tennessee and he was fucking awful. His biggest play was a severely underthrown deep ball on a flea flicker that should have been picked off if it weren't for 1) Riley Cooper coming back to bail Kolb out and 2) Chris Hope having the awareness skills of BEROWSK.

Kolb's peak is maybe Matt Schaub...which isn't anything special and definitely something that isn't worth a first-rounder.

Great things such as "never finish above .500"?

At least until this year and even then...

Because we watched him in college (when he did nothing of importance other than roll to either side of the field and throw it 4-7 yards) and watched him suck horribly in 6 of 7 said NFL starts?

You can hold out hope if you want. But trust me, he sucks. If your ceiling is a poor man's Matt Schaub, well then, you suck.

Id still take Kolb over half the bums and unproven rookies in the league.

To be fair he was coming of his best game of the year beating the Falcons at home, and Desean Jackson was hurt.

Kolb looked ok in the 1st half, but shit the bed, along with the rest of the team in the 2nd half. Covering Kenny Britt would of helped a little...

I've said this a couple times here, but I've seen every NFL snap he's taken. He's shown flashes of looking like an NFL QB, especially when surrounded by healthy receivers and a balanced gameplan. A 1st rd pick is a stretch, but I think he's worth a look.

I give the Falcons game more to Andy Reid for his great game-planning.

Btw their are some nice tables in their with interesting stats.

                      Deep Passing (over 20 yards):

Player- Att. -Comp.- Comp %- Yds -TD- INT
                      Michael Vick -65- 27 -41.54% -980 -8- 5
                      Kevin Kolb -26- 8 -30.77% -319- 2- 5

They also show intermediate and Kolb is turrible.

If a team gave up a 2011 first rounder for Kolb, that'd make sense.. most of the QB's in this class were very very average at best. A 2012 1st rounder would be lunacy though, given the talent that figures to be in this years draft.

I think Kolb will be fine in a west coast offense similar to Philadelphia's.. but if you put him in a vertical attack, he's going to struggle.

I'd give up a 1st-round pick for Matt Schaub in a heartbeat.
1st round picks are about as reliable as screen doors in a tornado, Schaub, while not a franchise QB, is a proven NFL top 10 to 15 QB.
IMO, the NFL tends to overvalue first round picks ... especially right now, when there is no financial protection.
I'd trade Oakland's #1 pick (used on Russell) for Matt Schaub ... or Kevin Kolb, for that matter.

He has a pretty decent deep ball.
