    Haynesworth to Eagles?

There's been some grumbling about this on local radio about something that was talked about back in late January.

There are few bigger uncertainties in the NFL than the Redskins’ plan for Albert Haynesworth.

For now, the Redskins appear content to hold on to Haynesworth and whatever value he still holds when player transactions are allowed. Of course, there’s no sure thing, and many wouldn’t be shocked if the much-maligned Haynesworth has taken his last snap for the Redskins.

If the Redskins do decide to move Haynesworth, NFL.com senior writer Steve Wyche has connected the dots to the division-rival Eagles.

“There will be teams that are interested, and one of them could be right up the highway and in the division,” Wyche said during his live chat. “Jim Washburn was hired as Philly’s defensive line coach and he was the position coach that was able to get the most out of Haynesworth (in Tennessee). We all know that if Haynesworth is motivated, he is a terror, which is why Washington paid him so much. Not everyone will go after Haynesworth, but I don’t foresee him not being in the NFL next season.”

Figuring out what the Redskins will ultimately do amounts to a lot of guess-work. Expect that to remain the same.

If we can get him for cheap, then hell yeah I'm down, since we have Wash as our D-line coach. If we have to give up a lot, fuck that.

Will Haynesworth be in Philly next season?

I posted this in the OFFICIAL REDSKINS thread. They have brought this up a few times with the old Titans coach going to Philly.

    YOU CAN HAVE HIM

NFL Network's Steve Wyche suggests Philadelphia as a possible landing spot for Albert Haynesworth.
Wyche's colleague, Albert Breer, suggested the same marriage a few months ago. While the Eagles can't help but have serious reservations about Haynesworth's character, those may be eased by new line coach Jim Washburn. Haynesworth flourished under Washburn during his Titans days. Other teams connected to Haynesworth have been the Broncos and Lions, although the latter possibility became remote when Nick Fairley fell to No. 13 in the draft.

Washburn is the only coach that can get anything out of Albert anymore. And I'm starting to doubt that even he can do that.

Washburn got plenty out of Albert in two contract years. The other 4 years he was in TN not quite as much production was found.

Washburn could reach Haynesworth, but the difference now is that Haynesworth has all the guaranteed money from Washington. He's not going to be motivated to play anymore, even for a team that could be in the playoff hunt like Philly.

They would be the best option for him, but at this point, I wouldn't expect much more out of Fat Albert.

I expect more lawsuits in the next 3 years than sacks.
