No Paul Krause? Surprising. Derrick Thomas was mentioned, disagree but you said it was close. I can't see Night Train over Rod Woodson though.

Haha Randy Moss wont be remembered when he's not playing anymore. Too inconsistent, he falls in the Bob Hayes categoryComment

and you are not remotely bright if you do.
he had 2 meaningful years with Minn and has been a side show the rest of the time. Even with his numbers he will be forgotten sooner than alot of guys.
even the one good year with the Pats wont help him be remembered like many others before him.Comment

LOL at DoubleDeuce groaning me for my take on Derrick Thomas, one of my all time favorite players.
Oh, he's an Alabama homer...makes sense now.
For what it's worth, Javier Arenas would receive strong consideration from me as an All-Time NFL team practice squad member.Comment

Moss made Daunte Culpepper appear to be good. Moss made Tom Brady have his best season by far. Moss almost made the Pats the first 19-0 team in NFL history.
I think for all they hype surrounding Randy Moss, people don't pay enough attention to his numbers. He's already 5th all-time in receiving yards, and 2nd all-time in TDs.Comment

The two highest scoring offenses of all time had Randy Moss on them.
Two of the top 6 all time records for single season TDs passes were throwing to Randy Moss.
Three of the top 6 all time TD catch seasons belong to Randy Moss.
Randy Moss along with Marshall Faulk are the two most dangerous weapons Ive seen on a football field. Only argument against them is Gale Sayers , artificial turf , and lax rules.Best reason to have a license.

What do you mean by "meaningful"?

and none of it matters because he's been a whiney bitch..its interesting to have big numbers and yet no one wants your ass on their team and you cant make up your mind who to play for cause you complain all the time anyway.
Lance Alworth , Don Hutson, Lynn Swann had more meaningful, successful careers than he did. Its not just about numbers with the hall of fame. If it was ,Harold Jackson should have been in already in relation to players in his era.
you guys dont seem to have a historic perspective. he wont be remembered as well as many others. he will be in the ,"oh,yeah, that guy " category like Bob Hayes and Bo Jackson and Hershel WalkerComment

Now, if you had said Harold Jackson was "oh yeah, that guy" you might have some legs. As far as his career is concerned, comparing it with Randy Moss shows a lack of historical perspective on your part. Jackson was good, had a couple great seasons. Moss has had historic seasons and was the most feared receiver in the game for a long stretch. Jackson finished in the top 10 in receiving tds 4 times. Moss has led the league in that category 5 times. I could go on all day as to why Moss is a HOFer whether he's the biggest jerk that ever walked the planet or not.
By the way, "meaningful" is a very vague term and needs definition. When you clarify what you mean by that I'm sure Moss' career will prove to have meaning, as well. And if by "successful" you mean title-winning then yes, this is the one area he falls short. But, he isn't a QB. How many rings a WR has won is far less relevant to the conversation when picking the best of all time.Comment

Again, your argument loses credence when referring to Bob Hayes as "oh yeah, that guy" when plenty of people remember precisely who he was and he is in the HOF. The fact he wasn't inducted until 30 plus years after his playing career ended also points to people remembering him. Whether or not you think he belongs there, he's anything but "oh yeah, that guy." Bo Jackson is remembered and revered as a Paul Bunyan like figure, hardly forgotten. Even Walker is at least remembered for helping create the Cowboys dynasty of the 90s.
