Terrelle Pryor made thousands of dollars autographing memorabilia in 2009-10, a former friend who says he witnessed the transactions has told "Outside the Lines."
Man, Terrelle knew what he was doin! Out there hustlin like that 40K in 3 years plus all the scholarship money the school gives him monthly AND all the cars. Dude was living like a boss hog. Props to him for pulling that off.
As far as Braxton Miller goes, I'm a huge fan...however it isn't fair to label him as the savior as many OSU fans are already doing. The pressure this guy would go through next fall as a freshman would be unmatched, especially because everyone wants him to be the new face of a new era of football at OSU. I say we cut our losses, start Bauserman all year and redshirt Braxton. That way maybe his senior year the NCAA sanctions against the school will finally be gone.
Ohio State is better off now anyway. Avoids the potentially messy situation that would have occurred if Braxton Miller did well in the 5 games Pryor was out. Nobody really wanted Pryor to come back anyway, so you might as well just let the kid take his lumps and move forward.
This is actually some good closure for Ohio State. Pryor was shit on the field anyway, might as well start the future today.
Pryor had a love for cars way back in high school. He was trouble from the start and OSU is better off. Cleaning up their mess to try to get that program back on track.
Got to see Miller play a bit last year, he has a hell of a lot more zip on his passes than Pryor, he is smaller than Pryor. I think Troy Smith is a decent comparison, he is a bit bigger. The issue is by the time he is a junior how good is the rest of the team going to be.
I saw this coming soon as Tressel left, the only reason Pryor stayed for his senior year is because Tressel asked him and those other guys to stay and not run away from the suspensions. Once Tressel left, what would he stay for? Wouldn't be at all surprised if another one or two of those other suspended guys left.
Its kind of funny that in the end Pryor doesn't have to serve any part of his "suspension". Reminds me of when Ron Zook was at Florida, and he took drastic disciplinary measures by suspending a few players for a non-conference cupcake game. But the cupcake game got postponed due to a hurricane, so Florida's next game was against Tennessee. But Zook didn't hold the players' suspension for the Tennessee game, because "They're going to play," Zook said. "They were scheduled to miss the Middle Tennessee game. It's not their fault there was a hurricane."
LOL I remember that fiasco well. Just another in a long line of hilarious "discipline" to come out of UF.
"Oh you tried to mutilate your opponent for life? You're gonna sit out the first half of the Vanderbilt game, or until you've learned your lesson. Whichever comes first."
