I have no take on this Kolb/DRC trade, but I just had to pop into this thread to voice my immediate displeasure towards this incredibly annoying "PP7" nickname that seems to be gaining traction.

It's been around for as long as Pat Pete was at LSU, but now that he's no longer wearing 7 it's probably time for a new one.

DRC can bounce back and have a good year. A lot of people forget just how bad our offense and pass rush was, leading to lots of big plays through our secondary. Even with the addition of Peterson, we're going to need Cromartie on the opposite side because Greg Toller showed the world he's not capable of staying in front of good receivers.

I'd like a quarterback in Arizona as bad as any fan but to give up a young talented cornerback for a quarterback that is completely unproven doesn't sound like the best idea. I'm fine with giving up a draft picks because that's a lower risk than giving up a sure talent like Cromartie.

Kolb seemed convinced he'd be traded to the Cardinals on a recent Dan Patrick Show appearance, so it's not surprising that he's already perusing the real estate market. The obvious stumbling block to a Kolb-Cardinals trade is the amount of compensation. It's expected to include Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a draft pick, and Arizona will also have to fork over a long-term deal at least in the Matt Cassel range (six years, $63 million
