Steelers 2011 Projected Starters
QB: Ben Roethlisberger / A-
He wins ugly. He's not going to win any passing titles, and he'll more than likely miss a game or two. But he's going to get you into the playoffs, where he'll more than likely win a couple games as well.
RB: Rashard Mendenhall / B
An everydown back that can carry the load. He's not elite, but he'll grind out a full season. It's important they find a better backup then Redman or the 3rd down specialist Mewelde Moore.
FB: David Johnson / C+
260 lbs, I don't know what else to say. He does his job adequately.
WR1: Mike Wallace / A-
One of the hardest to cover WR's today. Top 5 in yardage, top 7 in TDs. Did you know he caught a 1st down on 80% of his catches? Outstanding young talent.
WR2: Hines Ward / B-
I want to downgrade him to C+, but I'm giving him extra credit for his blocking ability, and his knack for catching tough passes in traffic, and he's still good as a possession guy.
TE: Heath Miller / B
Underrated by many, Miller has a solid skill set. Good hands, good blocker, smart player. Spaeth is a bigger body, and at 6'7 270 he's still a competent pass catcher.
LT: Max Starks / C-
He's good enough to start on less than half the NFL teams. Should be a RT.
LG: Chris Kemoeatu / D+
His strength is run blocking. But he's not that good at anything else.
C: Maurkice Pouncey / B+
The only reason I didn't label him an A is he's only had one year in the league. He proved his worth when shitbag Legursky, who is now a free agent, started for injured Pouncy.
RG: Ramon Foster / D-
Big and strong are his strengths but he's just not that good. Trai Essex is gone to FA, and we most likely won't ask him back.
RT: Flozell Adams / D+
He's what the Steelers like, a run blocking tackle...but he pass blocks like like he's on skates.
