Broncos agreed to terms with Willis McGahee on a three-year, $7.5 million contract.
McGahee will receive $3 million in guarantees, hardly starter's money. Turning 30 in October, McGahee is coming off a down season averaging 3.8 YPC and a miniscule 3.9 yards on 14 receptions. He'll see part-time work on early downs and possibly at the goal-line, but McGahee is a complement to Knowshon Moreno -- not the other way around.

Now it's time to see whether Edwards was really just a product of the Vikings' great defensive line or not. My vote is he was.

Ray Edwards seems like an intelligent dude after watching some interviews he's done during the lock out. The Falcons do have Abraham (who still has gas in the tank) and Jonathan Babineaux (who is a vastly under-rated DT) on that D-line, along with Peria Jerry who hopefully can finally bounce back from his injury... I'm sure having Abraham there will help Edwards take his game to the next level as well.

It's clear though, Abraham is at the point in his career that the Falcons still need to be thinking about their DE position. The move for Ray Edwards had to be done. He'll be Abraham's successor. Hopefully Kroy Biermann can establish himself in his new role this season.

League source: Nnamdi Asomugha is "genuinely torn" about what to do and while Jets are clear front runners, Cowboys have his ear.

Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan fully expects free agent Rex Grossman to re-sign and compete with John Beck for the Redskins' starting QB job.
In other words, Redskins fans shouldn't hold out hope for a Kyle Orton trade. Due to the NFL's new procedural rules, Grossman can't practice until Aug. 4. There's no hurry to sign this week, but it also leaves Beck with a one-week headstart. "I think it will be a great battle," Shanahan said of Becksy vs. Rexy, leaving us to wonder how he would have described Agincourt.

I think he's going to be a Cowboy...the Jets have put their best offer on the table...they have been in this from the beginning while the Texans, Niners and anyone else has bowed out...maybe the contract isn't enough...but either way looks like the Cowboys will do what is necessary and get Aso in there.

Big thing they said on the radio today is Aso isnt sure he wants to go to the East Coast, he spent the better part of a decade in Cal. They said some guys just cant handle the change of new barber, restuarants, life styles. Which I find ridiculous

Don't understand the move to sign Jackson from the Browns stand point, would rather of had Sprolles.

According to NFL Network's Mike Lombardi, the Cowboys are expected to set their sights on free agent DE Cullen Jenkins if they lose out in the bidding on Nnamdi Asomugha.
Multiple reports suggest the Cowboys are serious players in the Asomugha race, but our expectation is that he will ultimately sign with the Jets. Simply put, Asomugha wants to play in New York. Dallas already lost Stephen Bowen to a division rival, and Jason Hatcher is on the Broncos' radar. They need defensive end help badly, and Jenkins is a rare play-making "five technique

Rams agreed to terms with RG Harvey Dahl, formerly of the Falcons.
Dahl was a right guard in Atlanta, and will stay there in St. Louis. Though he's 30 years old, linemen tend to last longer than other positions, and he didn't become a starter until age 27. Pro Football Focus graded Dahl as the sixth best guard in football last season. He's known more as a nasty, mauling run blocker, but PFF had Dahl in the top seven in pass protection, as well. It's good news for Steven Jackson and Sam Bradford.

Dahl should be a good pick up for the Rams. He really is a punishing run-blocker. Hopefully Atlanta can bring Blalock back now.
