Saints Deal Reggie Bush to Dolphins

Terms haven't been released, but the only thing holding the deal up is approval from Reggie. He has to take that inevitable paycut.

Why would he do that? I would decline and get cut so I can choose where I want to go. Only way I would agree to the trade is if I was getting overpaid like his ass would be if he stayed in NO.

The deal hinges on the Dolphins working out an acceptable contract with Bush. Due to earn a base salary of $11.8 million in 2011

Anyone possibly think that they asked Reggie where he wanted to go before just shipping him away? I'm doubting they said nothing of a trade to him and just sent him to Miami since all the reports coming from Schefter and others were they were supposed to meet with him and ask if he would take a pay cut.

I'd much, much rather have Sproles. He's a better player who can do more things.

Reggie is something that the Defense is forced to respect. Sproles doesn't get near the amount of attention as Reggie

Bush CAN be a better player, just hasn't figured out how to be one yet.

He was a target of the Dolphins all off-season.

                              Why?

Dolphins have the worst offensive team speed in the NFL. Brutally slow, the Dolphins are.

They added a rookie wide out early that runs a sub-4.4. Now you grab a 4.4 running Bush. They added a QB who is better than Henne (although, admittedly, still average). They should add maybe another veteran speed wide out and a tight end that can stretch the field (two backup, type players) and maybe re-sign Ronnie Brown and you might have yourself a team that makes the playoffs.

                              Can't hate on'em for trying.
