Arizona-Philly deal done. Kolb for DRC+2nd Round Pick

The Arizona Cardinals have completed their deal with the Philadelphia Eagles to get quarterback Kevin Kolb, sources told ESPN.com senior NFL writer John Clayton.

Kevin Kolb-to-Cardinals trade done. Eagles get Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2nd. Kolb gets 5-year, $63.5 million deal, including $21 mil guaranteed.

The deal is laughable from their end. The trade itself is OK- I think the Eagles win but I am not sold on DRC as a #1 corner. The swap would have been good if not for the draft pick- this deal is very similar to the Portis for Champ Bailey/2nd rounder but on a smaller scale.

The fact is, Kolb hasn't proven he is anything better than average. They make this deal, and then hand him a 21.5 million in guaranteed money. Its a definite

Kolb is ass cheeks. Ass. Cheeks. He's not a poor man's Matt Schaub, he's a penniless bum's Schaub. No toughness, poise or arm strength. 11 TDs and 14 interceptions on his career, and he's owed a shit ton of money. To enter the season with Kolb as your starting QB is questionable enough, but to go out of your way to acquire him is retarded.

They gave up way too much value for a bottom 10 QB. Giving up anything at all is too much for Kolb, really.

He doesn't have to be. The eagles have their #1 corner, already.

Maybe it's just me, but if anything I thought DRC = Kolbs value.

Didn't think they should have added a 2nd rounder. :/

Kevin Kolb's $60M deal with $21M guaranteed very similar to Aaron Rodgers deal in 2008. Both had 7 starts prior to deal.

1 of the best jobs in sports is being Michael Vick's backup. Look how it paid off for Matt Schaub and Kevin Kolb

Terrible trade for Arizona. DRC + PP coulda been deadly in the desert.

Seriously? I love when sports analysts make comparisons based on ridiculous crap like this. None of the above has anything to do at all with how they play on the field.

If they weren't getting Kolb, who were the options to start at QB for Arizona?

Yeah. Always good to base your assessment of a QB on one game.
