Henne's had more than a down year. It's pretty much been a whole career.

So fuck you, I'm not typing that shit again. Let's go to the Ortonometer....
Ortonometer 2011 :orton: :orton: :orton: :orton: :orton: :orton: :orton: :orton:
WHOA! Kyle Orton has lost a little ground here in the QB battle but how could that be? With Tim Tebow being demoted to 3rd string surely Kyle Orton has a vice grip on the position, correct?
While Tim Tebow may have fallen out of the race, and maybe out of Denver altogether, a new challenger has emerged....
That's right. A year and five months after being acquired from the Cleveland Browns for All-Pro running back Peyton Hillis and two draft picks, Brady Quinn actually looked like a professional football player last night.
Now Quinn is still pretty deep in Orton's rear view, hence the eight Orton reading, but like Orton the former first round pick is also in the final year of his deal and is unlikely to sign another contract with the Broncos to be a back up.
With Quinn being two years younger than Orton the Broncos front office will surely be giving him a hard look throughout the season to see if he may be the future. And if Orton has to miss any games the way he has the past two seasons in Denver, I would look for Quinn to be trying to steal the job with every pass he throws.
Originally posted by glenwillettI believe the Tebow being cut/moved theory. I think that the fact Weber got snaps in that game with Tebow only getting one series after playing almost half of the first preseason game was pretty telling.
I think Denver is more than ready to move on with Orton/Quinn (with one going to the first team to have a starter go down) and Weber as the backupOriginally posted by glenwillettQuinn's transformation is as telling as anything. He looks light years more confident than he did even last season and there's no reason for Tebow to look as flustered as he has (that INT he got bailed out on in the 1st preseason game; that crazy play where he ran all over the place that resulted in three offensive penalties; being noticeably upset as he came off the field in that last game) especially if he were to put in that same level of work.
He's a third string QB at best this year and, based on what looks to be a regression from where he was at last season, I don't know if he'll ever be better than that.No. 4 quarterback Adam Weber waived. If he clears, he will be a practice squad candidate.

2011 Preseason stats:
Kyle Orton 28/42 408 yards 66.7 comp% 2 TDs 2 INTs 104.1 Rating
Tim Tebow 20/31 310 yards 64.5 comp% 1 TD 0 INT 108.3 Rating
Brady Quinn 22/42 276 yards 52.4 comp% 2 TD 2 INT 69.1 Rating
2010 Preseason stats:
Kyle Orton 38/57 397 yards 66.7 comp% 4 TD 2 INT 95.4 Rating
Tim Tebow 25/39 344 yards 64.1 comp% 2 TD 2 INT 88.0 Rating
Brady Quinn 32/56 334 yards 57.1 comp% 1 TD 1 INT 73.1 Rating
Call me crazy but it looks like Tebow actually improved off his 2010 preseason, Quinn actually regressed and Adam Weber isn't on the team! ;)Comment

And.... Big time Orton backers are frazzled because he always ends up injured! That's definitely not good sign going into a FA year... Especially with a rookie RT and second string/weak side rookie TE.
Tebow WILL have more of a POSITIVE impact on this years team (Denver Broncos) than Brady Quinn, even if he's listed at the #3 QB.Comment

Honestly, I don't think this "race for the 2 spot" really matters. Who gives a shit which spot on the bench you're warming? You're not playing anyways... Besides, they'll still probably try to sneak Tebow in for some tricky packages here and there even if he is the number 3 guy. He may not be what they want in an "every down QB" but that doesn't mean he's useless. Quinn probably only ever goes in at the end of a blowout or injury to Orton. I can't see a special in-game situation where a healthy Orton would not be used for a crucial play and Quinn would - Tebow, maybe. Especially if they wanted to try something like a wildcat.[REDACTED]Comment

Quinn is garbage and Tebow is no way a 4th string QB. Just like you said he'll leave his mark on the team by playing, not by warming the bench with a headset on...Comment

It has nothing to do with me being "cool" or not. All I'm saying is that Tebow has made ZERO progression from year one to year two in terms of making quick reads and not just tucking the ball and running when his first option is covered because he can't check off a receiver until his has seen them complete their entire route for some reason.
That's a mental mistake, just like the delay of game penalties he was picking up, those are on the QB and should not be happening.
I was all aboard the Tebow hype train because I believed that he would be able to work all this shit out.
Is it because he didn't put in the work? Did he put in the work and it's still not taking for some reason? I don't really know and I don't really care, all I know is that right now he is not someone I would trust to manage my team from the QB position and I'm having serious doubts as to whether he ever will.
All I'm saying is this, what's changed since the end of week 17 last year and week 1 of this year; as far as Orton Tebow and Quinn!?!?!
All I know is what I see and what I have seen is not impressive.
No offense but all you have "seen" Tebow do is play in the preseason games, which he actually improved from last year. In camp, with an Orange jersey on he looked like garbage, yes... But during the preseason (which is all we can go off of) he actually improved from his totals from last year and OUT played Brady Quinn a four year Pro (with 14 starts in the NFL).
All I'm saying is this, Tebow will have a positive influence (on the Field) this year. Orton will get hurt, quinn will play like garbage and tebow will win some games.Comment

Just because Orton is a better QB and THE NATIONAL Media's coverage is geared toward ratings, doesn't mean Tebow is going to be "ass and the Broncos won't even let him hold a clipboard backing up Orton"... Orton proved it since day one of this camp, yet being the less popular QB it was framed as a Orton vs. Tebow race early on! That's why ESPN and uninformed Bronco fans quickly shifted to a Quinn > Tebow race, and took a negative "spin" on Tebow. Fact of the matter is he played pretty well during the preseason and out played Quinn!

And the only other name I've had here was <3PEYTONHILLIS<3 (Well before he broke out I might add). GS was Tebow, but keep trying you're almost there.

Originally posted by glenwillettAnyone who saw the Broncos first pre-season game knows that there is no way Brady Quinn will see the field in a Broncos uniform unless something horrific were to happen to Orton THIS SEASON. If he goes down next year Tebow is the guy. It really pisses me off that we gave away Hillis for that piece of garbage.

He's an NFL QB. End of story.
Thanks for the memories Kyle.

Fuck you faggot. Trade Orton for picks and let Tebow do what he does. I'm going to go reserve FireJohnFox.com right now.

Originally posted by glenwillettI think Denver probably missed on teams looking for a starter who can give Elway what he wants. Right now Denver is just waiting on a contender losing their starter and having to overpay for the neckbeard.
And as I said in the Knowshon thread, I could give a shit what these guys look like in practice because in the games last year with the same crappy supporting cast Tebow got the ball into the endzone. I don't care if he ran it in or threw it in, last I checked both were worth 6 points.
What happen to you Glen you were totally a Te bow supporter until Aug. 1st this year!??!?! when it comes to Tebow you're totally the VSN's John Kerry!
Dude, I could totally find a shit ton more quotes but I'm tired.... Like I said quit giving me shit cause you're like the last one in this entire forum that should be talking shit about Tebow, considering the way you've made countless/worthless threads about him...Comment
