Do whatever the hell it takes. I mean, what the hell? You don't get points for style in this league. Let me tell you something: My man is really good in this offense. You know what I mean?
If we were trying to run a regular offense, he'd be screwed.Comment

I am not changing my mind on this. Elway/Fox don't want Tebow to be their QB in 2012 and are doing everything in their power to sabotage his Broncos' career. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Wait ... you are insisting that a professional footbal team was trying to lose, in order to embarrass a guy they drafted in the first round two years ago, but the plan backfired and they accidentally won?Comment

They backed down to public pressure, started a QB with a system they thought would fail ... and it didn't.
I truly believe it.
Fox's tepid support of Tebow is so obvious. Elway has never supported him.
Then they introduce this goofy option offense which has never been used in the NFL, fully expecting it to fail ... then Tebow wins anyway.
Yes, I am the guy believing in the grassy knoll here. I honestly believe the Broncos were trying to set up Tebow to fail. He probably still will, but 2-1 not a bad start. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Honestly one of the dumbest theories I have ever heard. I would love to see how John Fox reacts in a one on one conversation with Dave when he explains his theory.Comment

Dave, your logic is illogical.
Coaches and GMs get judged on results. Wins and losses matter. They will not intentionally throw away games under most circumstances because every loss erodes their job security a bit more. Its not like Fox and Elway are going to get 4-5 sesaons to turn Denver around. The whole reason they turned to Tebow is because Orton wasn't producing results and that wasn't acceptable. If they have a vendetta against Tebow and don't care about losing, why even bother playing him? He wasn't their draft pick, they aren't paying him massive money, and by most accounts he doesn't look great in practice, so why not just let Tebow rot on the bench. No matter how popular he is with fans, no matter how much they call for him to start, proclaiming he's not ready or capable is a reasonable defense for keeping him on the bench. The fans might put some pressure on the team and coach, but its not the same kind of pressure that comes from losing.
And adjusting your offensive approach to suit the skills of your quarterback hardly seems like the most effective way of embarassing him. This is allowing Tebow to play to his sterngths and its really that simple.
This "theory" makes you sound like the crackpots who postulate that NFL "arranged" for the Pats to win the 2001 Super Bowl because of 9/11...Comment
