TEs and WRs have to know where to be set on the line in several new formations. New pre snap motion. None of our RBs ran the option in college and have to learn spacing and work and receiving the pitch while running, we saw Jeremiah Johnson fuck it up last night. And Denver has yet to have a game in this offense without an illegal formation penalty.

Johnson played at Oregon and Lance Ball at UMD, so they definitely played in that style of offense... and im sure the other RB's played in the same type of offense's in HS, in fact, i know mcgahee played in an option offense at Central High.... everything else is just a minor nuance (learning to line up differently isn't a hard concept to grasp)...

No? It could just be a sign maybe of why he was on the pratice squad for so long? NFL players fuck up a lot....guys who were undrafted and on practice squads more often than others.

Well last night we fumbled a pitch and had 2 illegal formation penalties at least so they're having a hard time grasping it. I don't know what to tell you coach. I bet some repetition of those plays in practice some more will probably help to curtail it, but that's just me.

they didnt have any penalties like that before Tebow??? cmon glen, every offense has these types of penalties, even Green Bay...

you are over-analyzing the shit out of this "change", b/c when you break everything down to it's simplest form, not much has changed...

and warner mentioned the new red zone package they installed earlier: yea, they've had that package for tebow since day 1, they even talked about it during the preseason games... they are just using it more now...

No we didn't.. we had holding calls because the offensive line can't really pass block yet and we had turnovers because Orton would turn it over but the formation penalties and problems cleanly receiving the option pitch are a byproduct of the new offense. And we used the Tebow RZ package not a once during the first give weeks. So I doubt it was part of many walk-throughs.

you have no idea how an NFL practice works... its not like college, where they have a finite amount of time each day to practice... they practice everything they might use in the coming week's game, so of course they practiced the tebow package... what else are they gonna let him do, be the scout team QB?? b/c that's Quinn's jerb...
