        Beating your wife does help your performance on the field (see OJ, Jim Brown, Warren Moon, etc.), and its allowed.

          I was referring to this comment by Ray:

          If it's not performance-enhancing, why would he become a scrub? The implication here is obviously that Matthews takes HGH, to which I say, so? There's no proof it does anything.

              Got it. Actually I was reading somewhere that HGH can reduce your endurance and therefore hurt more than help. Any positives (in athletic performance) were very short-term. I still think it's big news and I still think it's worth it to catch people trying to cheat (even if they aren't successful).
