Sure we all think Rex is totally wrong but what was he supposed to say? It would be a far bigger deal to me if he would've said "we suck, don't expect much." It would've been true but you don't want your qb saying that.

Rex weighs around 10lbs less and is 5 inches smaller then Rapelisburger.

I'm pretty sure your QB (Josh Freeman) is the biggest starting QB in the NFL.

      Josh Freeman - 6'6" 250lbs
      Joe Flacco - 6'6" 238lbs
      Ben Rapelisburger - 6'5" 241lbs
      Donovan McNabb - 6'2" 240lbs
      Peyton Manning - 6'5" 230lbs
      Colin Kaepernick - 6'5" 233lbs

      (sorry got bored... )

“We’re just waiting in the wings ready to take over the NFC East. Nobody’s talking about us, it’s right where we wanna be. You look at us from top to bottom out here, there’s a bunch of great players. And we don’t need people saying we’re the best right now. But when it’s all said and done, I really feel like this team’s gonna win the [NFC] East.

There's no way in hell Colin Kaepernick is 233. I call bullshit.

I laughed when I saw that too. He looks maybe 10-15 pounds bigger than me and I'm 185.

Why would Grossman allow himself to get that flabby? A defensive tackle, I understand, but he's a fucking QB.

He probably thought "there's no way Shanahan is serious about starting me this year"

Meh...if that other Rex can come out at the start of every season and "We're going to win the Superbowl" I don't have a problem with it...and I generally have a problem with everything Grossman does.

No, but he shouldn't have said all of that. He talked about not having the spotlight on them this season and as Washington players have pointed out they are quite content with that, but then he goes and makes this statement. Rex sees an opportunity to become that franchise QB again. He wants Shanahan to throw all the weight on his shoulders because he still thinks he can be that guy.

He will fail like he's done countless times before, and he'll eventually realize that making a couple $million a year to ride the bench isn't too bad.
