Say you pay them minimum wage and everyone is happy for 1-2 years. I bet you'd have a strike or something at some point with major athletes demanding more money.
Also should only be big time sports like basketball and football, or should every single scholarship athlete in any sport be paid? It is way too slippery of a slope to start paying them.
Eh, I don't know about that. Strikes are pretty rare these days. People are too apathetic for that shit.
I agree that it is a slippery slope, but so are these outsized TV contracts.
