Pretty sure I remember the Colts saying FU to the league and the rule about not being able to hike until the ref is set a few preseasons ago. Wasn't a big deal and might have actually worked since it looks like the rule got modified.

I thought they got false start penalties for that?

I think if they really wanted to practice kick off coverage, then they would have their kicker kick it high and not deep. Sounds like BS to me.

At what point did the referees not let them kickoff?

If the referees don't do anything to prevent a team from doing this, it is the league's (referee) fault. It's the same as if they didn't call a penalty or gave a team a gross spot.

since when is football a pussy sport? changed the rule for safety? why not just eliminate them and start at the 20 everytime. kudos to the bears for doing this regardless of their motives

they did it in an exhibition game. let them try it in a regular season game before blowing them.

right, an exhibition game....because they were evaluating players. why would they do it in the regular season.

like i said (despite you misquoting of me) regardless of motives....their motive was to evaluate

If you believe Lovie at his word. Otherwise, the realistic answer is they wanted to show their pissed off feelings about taking away the kick return aspect of the game.

Than kick the damn ball higher with less distance. Are you that dense to think there is only one way to kick off?

The realistic answer is kick the ball higher and shorter.

LOL at Kosar not being able to understand something so simple.

I don't think you know what this means either. But going by your track record, I'm not surprised.

Hey, somebody give Maynard, I mean Kosar, a lesson in ball trajectory and distance. While your at it, try and straighten him out on what faggot and bitch means. Be patient with him, it might take a while.

In all honesty bucky, I dont think its that easy. Its not like its Madden and Robbie just tilts his arrow up and stops his power meter short.

Since we all know the Bears will only score twice, that gives him 3 chances to attempt the perfect kick. What happens if he mishits 2, and they go deep into the end-zone causing a TB. Thats two chances to evaluate wasted. Hence, fuck the weak rules anyway.
