    Ronnie Brown

How good is he? His signing went pretty under the radar, did he fall off or what? Who would you rate him along side skills wise?

I know a little bit about Ronnie Brown, but nothing more than seeing him on SportsCenter every week.

Fifty percent of the time, he's great. The other half, he's injured. I would rate him alongside post-2006 Larry Johnson.

3 years ago I said when healthy he's a top 3 running back. With all the good young running backs today, when healthy now I say he's a top 10-15 RB easy.

The problem is he misses too many games each year.

6yrs and 30 million dollars later, he had one good year with Miami (the Wildcat year). Other than that the guy is no better than average. It was always "this is the year". He never showed the speed he put up at the combine, he constantly dances around in the backfield, and he's always getting dinged. There is a reason Miami didn't even offer him a 1yr deal.

            He's the definition of average.

If you're a winning team that just kind of has interchangeable runners...he could be good. But as the feature back on anything less...very very average.

I always thought Ricky was the better back when they played together in Miami.

Ronnie had his moments but he was average at best. He was good at hitting the holes, tough runner at times. Feature running back. Hes fun to watch

Last night, great example of what you are going to get with Ronnie Brown:

6 carries for 25yds with an avg. of 4.2yds ..... Looks nice, BUT, his longest run was 14 yds. So, the remaining 5 carries of his 6 were for 11yds with an avg. of 2.2yds. People who are box score junkies love this type of player. When you are a fan and have to watch it each week you are going to go mad seeing 90% of the carries go down in a cloud of dust and dirt.

Wait until you see him catch a swing/screen pass in the flat, turn and go up field, and then after a couple steps stop in his tracks to do some kind of fucking hip shake to dodge the driving tackler (and failing) instead of keeping his pace for another 4-5yds or running over the corner/safety he has 30lbs on.
