    2 Second Rounders = Samuel?

Though Roseman has since shopped Samuel to potential suitors – a source said he was asking for a pair of second-round picks in return – the GM said Monday he was comfortable keeping all three high-profile corners on the roster in 2011.
Philadelphia is dismissing the 'Dream Team' label – but with a loaded lineup, nothing but the Super Bowl will do.

I guess Roseman is looking for 2 second rounders for Asante. Would this be a good deal for the Eagles? Is Asante being over valued or under valued?

I would love to see Asante and Aso start together, with DRC coming in during slot situations. Supposedly this wouldn't be the case, but if I could get my wish, I'd keep all 3. In reality, though, the Eagles don't need 3 pro bowl corners, and I say that lightly with regards to the pass happy league, but is that really a good deal? I personally think anybody who gets Asante for 2 2nd rounders is getting lucky.

I'd keep Samuel this season and trade him in 2012. This has the potential to be a very cool experiment. Two 2nd rounders for Samuel would be a good deal for the Birds though, given Samuel's age and cap hit.

            Touché.

The only way I'd not feel at loss if Samuel went is if we get a linebacker in return.

That asking price screams "we'll trade Asante if someone wants to overpay for him... otherwise we might as well keep him"..

They'll move him next offseason. No sense trading a guy just to do it. I have a feeling Asante would rather be the 3rd corner on a loaded team over the best corner on a shitty one.

If I ran a shitty team I wouldn't give up two second rounders for Asante Samuel.

                      My point exactly.

No one will give up two 2nd round picks for a 30 year old defensive back.

                      Well maybe the Raiders.

As a Bears fan, I would hope the Eagles would take Earl Bennett and the Panthers 3rd for Samuel. :noidea:

Why in the world would the Eagles trade for another WR? Jackson/Maclin/Smith/Avant:noidea:
