            Upon seeing the thread title I immediately thought of NC State. Pick any ACC team, really. Maryland is another good call. They produce some freakish athletes with nothing to show for it.

              Herm, I don't know if Shaun Hill is really considered an "athletic freak" anymore...his best years may be behind him. He's just not as freakishly athletic as he once was.

                      Cal is going to be hard to beat on that one. There are some solid ballplayers from the early 90's on up, starting with Harvey Nickerson, Ken Harvey and Todd Steussie.
