Baldwin breaks wrist/gets his ass kicked

Nick Wright of 610 Kansas City said on his radio show Friday that he's heard Jonathan Baldwin's wrist was broken in his locker-room brawl with Thomas Jones, but Wright couldn't confirm the fracture.
"I heard broken wrist, I heard out 6-8 weeks," Wright said. "... Behind close doors, (Baldwin) has been an entitled jack-ass. And not surprisingly, the coal miner's son Thomas Jones ... whooped his -ss over it." Another report from NFLN's Jason La Canfora suggested Baldwin wouldn't miss regular season time, but that's probably overly optimistic if his wrist is indeed broke.

They said Baldwin was as much a diva as any receiver who came out in the draft over the last 10 years.

    Looks like he's proving it.

[waits for unimaginative and predictable Dez Bryant zinger]

Word from camp has also been that he's lazy, a diva, and refuses to learn how to beat press coverage.

Nick Wright is a shit stirring moron. The KC sports radio scene is beyond awful.

This is the guy who also claimed Missouri was going to the Big 10, Purdue coach Matt Painter was signing with Missouri, and that Kansas City was getting the Penguins from Pittsburgh.

The guy is wrong way more often than he's right.

With that said, apparently Baldwin did hurt his wrist. None of us know what happened or how severe the injury is. The Chiefs are being hush hush about it.

I don't buy the lazy/diva/won't learn how to beat press coverage crap for a minute though. I think we would have heard Todd Haley address that if it was true.

We should be encouraged if he is acting like an arrogant, punk diva. I'm pretty sure that's the signs of a great WR in the making. Moss, Owens, Ochocinco, Marshall

Exactly. And it's a good sign if Baldwin ends up in Haley's doghouse. Worked wonders with Bowe.

Baldwin isn't even a top 3 WR in this years draft class, yet he's already acting like a diva. I wonder how Haley will handle the situation or if he will just continue to use Thomas Jones as an enforcer

“We spoke to Jonathan at length at the combine, a number of us. He was one of our formal interviews and we had him in here as one of our 30 visits that were allowed and we feel like we have done our due-diligence and I am very comfortable making him a Kansas City Chief.”

For Haley to be making statements like this after the draft he must have heard/known of issues with the kid, no? As a Chiefs fan you really don't have to defend the kid......he probably is what has been written about him..... he got into a fight. Hopefully he learns from it and becomes a better player. Fights happen and teams move on from them....not a big issue.

Yeah this kid's attitude is well documented. This is also being reported by several other sites/papers.

I think it's interesting that Thomas Jones hasn't gotten any flak for the fact that he's gotten in quite a few scuffles in his time in the NFL.

Everyone wants to say it's because he's a "no nonsense son of a coal miner", but honestly I think he's a meathead idiot who has a hard time keeping his own anger in check. Coincidentally, most of his fights have come at times when he has been usurped on the depth chart, as well.

Both seem like shitheads to me.

Julius Jones never got into any fights that I know of.
