there is a definite population of ignorant white people - go have a look at the "lamar odom is a thug" thread buried deep in the NBA section for an example - who call pretty much any black guy making noise a thug. 50 years ago, these guys would have called them the N word, but nowadays this is much less socially acceptable. "thug" gets used as a substitute, because i mean after all, thug just refers to a criminal, a low life, right? strangely though, it never gets used to describe a white guy.

if Carson Palmer was black, they'd all be calling him an ungrateful thug for retiring rather than play in Cinci. Peyton Manning? greedy thug for how he holds Irsay hostage and insists on being the highest paid player ever, killing his teams ability to surround him with talent. Tebow? Talentless thug who can't even outplay Brady Quinn.

a couple things there my friend...

1. tim tebow is a talentless bum, thug? idk about that but he is a bum.

2. peyton manning didnt demand to be the highest paid player, in fact he restructed his old deal to help pay others and took less (if you call 90 instead 100 mil less) to make sure they could pay other players.

3. Carson Palmer is not a thug, an overrated quarterback throwing a fit, yes, but thug no.

you should have used better examples when trying to pull the race card. ochocinco makes a more noise than a rock concert and he is not a thug. i wouldnt call TO a thug either, but he is an asshole. that big white wr they had in jacksonville (he was a qb in college, dont feel like googling him) he was a thug, getting busted for coke and slappin his woman.

Thugs = plural. You were referring to an exchange between TWO people. Naturally I would assume you were referring to both players when you used the plural form of thug in direct response to a conversation between them.

i used the plural because CJ isn't the only wanna be thug praisin god then rollin out to the club. i never even implied fitz was a thug. i already knew his dad was a reporter and he grew up a ball boy with the vikings. IIRC chris carter helped fitz learn his craft. if you read what i quoted and my comment, it applied to the main person who made the tweet who also is the one who invoked god's name.
