Nope. Same situation. Lead with shoulder, incidental H2H contact. Besides that Chad is drifting down as he is going for the catch. Shit like that cant be anticipated, the game is to fast.

Hell no. The dude is going for a catch so you hit him as hard as you cant, legally which he did, to jar the ball loose.

if that was an illegal hit, then there is no difference in the tackling form/the way a defender uses his body, you know, defensively, between that being flagged for an illegal hit, or stopping a receiver from making the completion/maybe causing a fumble.

The Ocho hit was way less worse because at least he still had the ball in his hands. The ball was way out of Donald Jones grasp when Rahim Moore took his fucking head off. I don't view the Ocho hit as unnecessary because that hit is what causes the incompletion. The Donald Jones one would've been incomplete Rahim Moore's hit or not.

While I wish these hits were all legal this is just how I see it.

this, any hit to the head of a defenseless receiver is going to be called regardless if it was intentional or not. Too many players are ending up with brain problems later in life and the NFL has to protect themselves from lawsuits.

I just dont understand what the kid (Moore) was supposed to do. Its 3rd and 19, Denver's runnin a deep cover 2. ITS HIS FUCKING JOB to separate the ball from the receiver. And he did just that. Took a great angle, led with his shoulder, and did his fucking job.

In film on Monday, his coaches will applaud him and they should.

He didn't separate the ball from the receiver. That was already done when Donald Jones dropped the pass way before Moore ever made contact.

You honestly expect him to stop and say "ok, I could have killed you but now I wont"?

Were talking split seconds here, Moore did his job. And did it correctly.

"way" before? stop watching it in slow mo. in real time, he's already moving at top speed to make the hit. theres no way a grown man in football shape can pull up on that play without getting leveled himself, or worse, going for his knees, which would cost him the same money and draw the same level of criticism.

I hate how injury from a hard hit automatically warrants a flag even if it was clean. So lame.

yes he lead with his shoulder but he went up towards his head. they are gonna call that 100% of the time. any hit up towards the head whether it be shoulder, arm, leg, or pinkie is gonna be a penalty. the announcer nailed it when he said "you got to aim lower". its a split second play but if theres a hit up high like that and some dude is laying stiff on the field its gonna be a penalty

It's not hard to extend your hands and give a push or shove rather than a hit like that. That is a decision you can make it that little of time.
