    Top CB Tandems

I kinda wanna see how Corey Webster and Terrell Thomas stack up in this. I definitely think they would beat the Dolphins' tandem and maybe even the Chiefs' tandem.

And lol at Vontae Davis even thinking he and Sean Smith compare to other top CB duos in the league.

Finny's awful season last year disqualified us from this.

I love our trio of Finnegan/McCourty/Verner though. We're not lacking at the CB department.

Really excited to see Tramon Williams and Sam Shields grow and learn more and more. Tramon is already a pro-bowl CB and Shields is one of the best nickelbacks in the league. Add Woodson to that and it's very fun to watch. I would like to see them look into forced turnovers and playmaking ability though. Woodson and Tramon would probably be #1 or #2 if you add in that factor.

When it comes to these numbers alone, I rank it like this:

            2. Atlanta
            3. Kansas City/Philadelphia
            5. San Diego
            6. New York Jets
            7. Miami

Category No. 6 -- Overall YPA

This all-important category gauges how well the cornerbacks did on all passes targeted their way and is thus worth more in this competition. First place will get nine points, second place eight points, etc.

              The rankings:

Tied for 1st -- Philadelphia and Atlanta (5.8 YPA)
              3rd -- NY Jets (6.0 YPA)
              4th -- Green Bay (6.5 YPA)
              5th -- Kansas City (6.6 YPA)
              6th -- San Diego (6.7 YPA)
              7th -- Miami (7.5 YPA)

Atlanta's showing here may actually be more impressive because its 5.8 YPA total was based on 172 targets versus Philadelphia's total of 66 targets.

That's the best part. 100+ more targets and still right there tied for 1st. Add in Hayden + Sanders this year for extra

                    ...he plays like you post?

I cringed when I initially heard Vontae's comments. Glad he has confidence and that he and Smith are a respectable tandem compared to the entire league, but his comments were crazy.

What happened to Mathis? I remembered when that brotha was the next "big thing" on the come up.
