Senser's NCAA Players of the Week: Week 1

Offense: Robert Griffin, QB Baylor



Griffin completed 21 of 27 passes for 359 yards and 5 TDs with no INTs in Baylor's 50-48 upset over the Horned Frogs at TCU.


Defense: Tyrann Mathieu, CB LSU



Tyrann played a great game against the allegedly potent Oregon offense: 10 tackles, 2 passes defensed, 1 FF, 1 FR, and 1 TD. LSU completely stymied the Ducks in the 40-27 Tiger win.


Special Teams: Matt Rinehart, P Kent State



Rinehart had a busy day against Alabama. 12 punts at a nice 44 yard average, for a whopping total of 528 punting yards in just one game. Kent State lost, 48-7.
