Dylan Favre, that is. I guess being an attention whore runs in the family.
Favre just wants to play

I've seen the kid play (beat my alma mater in the south state championship game), he isn't garbage. He shattered all of the major high school records in the state of Mississippi at the QB position. The problem is that he makes Doug Flutie look like a big man.
Nobody would even care that the 3rd string QB on a college team wanted the ball if his last name wasn't Favre. -

Edit- And this is the kind of stuff you expect from Favre anyway. He's known to have a huge ego and to shoot off at the mouth.

I see nothing wrong with a guy wanting to have a chance to play and voicing it considering that he watch the other two QBs on the depth chart got their asses handed to them last night. A combined under-150 passing yards, 2 INTs, 5 sacks, 0 TDs. I can't really blame him.
Sure, he's 5'10", but Flutie was too. It's a legit issue, but that doesn't mean the kid can't play.

He's a true freshman ... It would be moronic for Mullen to burn his redshirt just to get sodomized by the LSU defense for the last half or quarter of the game. Relf and Russell are further along in their development and even they were getting manhandled, what did Favre honestly expect to be able to contribute?

Winners always want the ball when the game is on the line.

Change the above comments to standing at 6'4" and being the 7th QB on the depth chart and you are talking about his uncle who played in his first collegiate game against Tulane at the same age. Not saying that Dylan has even a small chance of having that type of success in his career but he wants the ball.
