What's the deal with Mike Pollak? I thought I read something about him seeing some playing time at guard for Indy, but it seemed to me when they drafted him that he'd be a nice replacement for Saturday in that system.

I think he's still the one we're looking for to fill the void left by Jeff. I mean, just because he's entering FA doesn't mean he won't be back. I assume he will, but just the same, it's not horrible if he doesn't. The worst thing about it will be the Center-Quarterback exchange problems between Peyton and Pollak [or whoever fills in for him]

why do you think Polian drafted a center the other year?

I have no worries about it, I'm 100% confident that Manning and Pollak or Justice (whomever plays center) will have their chemistry down before the season starts.

I'm not worried about the play on the field from a new center as much as the void left in the locker room. Saturday was huge on the team and off here in Indy. He was as much of a leader as Peyton arguably.

Either way, if Harrison gets away, Saturday's not. I don't see him leaving either way imho.

And if there's one team that's good at picking up cheap, young players, it's the Colts. They played rookies all over the OLine last year and still made it to 12 wins. I wouldn't be too concerned.
