NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans waived the following players to reach the 53-player roster limit: DE Larry Birdine, LB Rocky Boiman, TE Casey Cramer, CB Tanard Davis, G Ryan Durand, CB DeMarcus Faggins, FB Rodney Ferguson, LB Ryan Fowler, RB Quinton Ganther (injured), S Tuff Harris, WR Mark Jones, DT Mitch King, T Cory Lekkerkerker, WR Phillip Morris, TE Matthew Mulligan, G Jason Murphy, DT LaJuan Ramsey, S Nick Schommer, LB Josh Stamer, P A.J. Trapasso, OL Fernando Velasco and WR Paul Williams.

a few surprises there for sure

ONCE AGAIN THEY FUCKING KEPT CHRIS HENRY, its like they are afraid to admit they made a mistake. They cut Quinton Ganther who has been in the system for like 4 years now. He can play halfback and fullback

Ganther, Fowler, and Boiman caught me by surprise

Im glad they cut Faggins and Mark Jones i shook my head in surprise when they signed them to deals this offseason thankfully no money was guaranteed.

        THEY CUT AJ?

Lol saw that coming, but he was FTW during pre-season. Still pissed about keeping Henry though.

54 because Stamer is in there. He was cut. Still not sure Henry is safe just yet. I expect some moves.

See I thought Stamer was cut but according to titansonline he wasnt on the cuts list and he was on the active roster

                  Team Captains Named
                  They are:

                  Kyle Vanden Bosch - DE
                  Kerry Collins - QB
                  Rob Bironas - K
                  Donney Nickey - S

ummmmmm whitest team in the NFL? No more Keith Bulluck as captain? Is it because he fully expects it to be his last year in Nashville as he's previously stated.

Seriously Donnie Nickey? Special teamer as your captain, awesome. Now that i think about it, i guess most teams have a special teamer as captain and KVB took Bulluck's spot.

Meh im indifferent, i think the prevailing thought around here is that he has some kind of dirt on Jeff Fisher, lol. How else has this guy had a roster spot for 5 or 6 years?

Hes a good special teamer, he's played SS in a pinch. He knows the system, along as he doesnt make too much money im fine with him being on the team. Maybe Fish sees some of himself in Nickey. He wants to keep the White Defensive Back legacy alive.

Very true. I don't know, just never liked the guy. Maybe because he went to Ohio State, lol.

                          My thoughts from the game:

                          - Defensive line will be just fine, they looked pretty good.
                          - Kenny Britt is going to be a stud. Made some clutch catches.
                          - I can't stand Justin Gage still, drops too many passes.
                          - Besides the pick by Troy, Collins threw the ball well.
                          - CJ had some good runs, Slimdale maybe had one 5+ yarder.
                          - Hey Chuck Cecil, you don't have to run a prevent defense the entire second half and overtime.
                          - I know Heinz Field is a tough place to kick at, but seriously Rob? You're a top notch kicker, but that was awful.
                          - And finally, if Cecil gets his act together with his play schemes, I see another AFC South title.

yeah the play was solid, but the coachin was less than good.

never thought i would say that in my life of bein a titans fan.

we usually always out coach and just have shittier players

Gotta agree with both you of here. That's how I saw things as well. I think the Titans will be fine.

Cecil is trying to play Jim Schwartz football without the same personnel. You have to be more creative. Yes we had 4 sacks, but getting a good pressure one in 10 plays isnt going to get it done. What the fuck was that cover 2 bullshit all game? Santonio split both the deep safeties on the cover 2 for a td that was pathetic.
