Fuller, Hentrich and Loper are the only ones I really want to see back. Maybe add King too. I thought he filled in nicely. Collins and Fat Albert are asking for too much and the rest are .... whatever.

    Nice thread title btw lol

I'm also a Titan fan, so now we got four. I couldn't have said it better myself Herm, you summed everything up there. I'd like us to try to go after a Houshmandzadeh or even trade for Boldin, but you're right; even since Pickens and Thigpen, we won't push for wideouts.

The word this morning was TN was negotiating with former 2 gap Nose Tackle Chris Canty of the Cowboys to come in and play in our 43 scheme, he would have to be a nice player in a 43 and only be responsible for one gap right? I really think this guy clogging up the middle helped the Dallas DEs/OLBs put up those big numbers.

I really hope the titans sign him if the money is right.

Supposedly they are interested in Correll Buckhalter as well, hopefully that means Chris Henry will be cut.

Wasn't Canty a DE in their 3-4? Like you said though if the money is right he's still worth a look.

Chris Henry is a beast. Stop hating.

Im seeing him as a DE online but i swear everything i heard this morning has he played DT there this year, im probably wrong though as they had Tank Johnson who i know was a DT.

anyway the titans just resigned Vinny Fuller so the backup S and Nickelback spots are taken. I guess this means Chris Carr is gone and we need a KR now.

The Titans have agreed to terms on a three-year deal with nickelback Vincent Fuller, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Fuller has been the team's nickel back the past two seasons.

Fuller has appeared in 50 career games with the Titans.

In his career he has 93 tackles, a sack and two interceptions.

His best season came in 2007 when he returned an interception for a touchdown in back-to-back games at New Orleans and against Atlanta.

Fuller was a fourth round (108th overall) draft pick by the Titans in the 2005 NFL Draft.

The Titans have got to do something about the quarterback situation. Let's face it *see avatar title*, and now we are stuck with him for the time being. If Collins can't be brought back for a reasonable price, this team is in a shitload of trouble. I'm not sure what to make of Chris Simms. It's been so long since he's seen meaningful playing time.

I do know that I hate playing with a lefty in Madden, so if that can be avoided...great. ;)

They were thinking of bringing in Nate Washington, rotoworld is reporting Detroit is close to finalizing a deal with him, for whatever thats worth

Source: Collins priced out of range for Titans

With Albert Haynesworth headed to the Washington Redskins, it now appears likely that the other big-name free agent for the Tennessee Titans will be playing elsewhere in 2009 as well. The Nashville City Paper reports that Kerry Collins has priced himself out of a new contract with the team, as the veteran quarterback is believed to be seeking a deal in the neighborhood of $8 million per season, and the team does not feel confident making such a pact.

With Collins out of the picture, the Titans will be engaging Chris Simms more heavily, and could enter the offseason with Simms and former No. 3 overall pick Vince Young in a duel for the role of starting quarterback. The free agent Simms has also been linked to the Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears in recent weeks.
Source: Titans increase efforts to re-sign Simms

With the Tennessee Titans and Kerry Collins far apart as the free agency period opens Friday, club officials apparently are ramping up efforts to re-sign their other free agent quarterback, Chris Simms, according to league sources.

Collins is believed to be seeking a deal in excess of $8 million per season, and the Titans are believed not to be interested in such a sum at the current time.

Simms, 28, came to the Titans after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the end of the preseason. Simms had missed much of the previous two seasons after suffering a spleen injury early in the 2006 season.

Simms, a former University of Texas star and son of New York Giants great Phil Simms, spent most of last season as Tennessee's third-string quarterback behind Collins and Vince Young. He also spent a great deal of the season working on improving and regaining his strength after being weakened in the wake of having his spleen removed.

As Simms heads to the open market, there have been rumors of other teams having interest in him, including the Houston Texans, Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.

I'm really not against having Kerry back next season but like I said before, he's asking for too much right now. 8 mill per season, really Kerry? I'm sure that when he sees there's no interest from other teams that he'll lower it, but by how much?

funny thing is when Kurt Warner said he wanted 16M per year, Kerry said
"im at least worth 10, if Kurt's worth 16" lol Maybe Minnesota or Detroit pays Kerry 8-10 Mil per year. I really dont see any other team willing to do so.

I like Jones, so good luck to him wherever he lands.

Washington doesn't do anything for me. If they sign him or not, I really wouldn't care. I just hope they don't think he's the answer at WR.

agreed, i dont think hes anything better than a 3rd WR. We have 5 of those already on the team
