It looked like William Moore let up, I doubt he was going to slam Vick into the turf.

Citing a team source, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Michael Vick's concussion is "slight."
NFL Network's Marc Stein also reported that Vick was in good enough spirits and condition to shower with his teammates, and make the team flight home after the game. Per Stein, the Eagles are "not sure" whether Vince Young (hamstring) is ready to play yet. While it's good news that Vick wasn't visibly groggy, he'll still need to pass the typical baseline concussion tests required to play after this injury. He's very much 50:50 to start against the Giants.

If they have that rule in to protect the QB, than that should be called for all QBs, this would have never happened if the refs had laid the law down in the first qtr to make the d-players think twice before coming in late constantly and laying the wood on Vick.

            LOL at ths shit.

On the play Vick got hurt Williams got there literally a split second(if that) after Vick threw the ball. And Williams wasn't really whipping him into the ground Vick just knocked helemets with an OLineman.

            Missed penalties my ass.

At what fucking point do you see the Falcons player letting up? His name is also Moore, not Williams. Also at what fucking point do you think he's not whipping him around anymore, Herremans isn't there, the laws of physics guarantee Vick slamming his head into the turf.

Michael Vick is the biggest key to the success of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, and they might have to go with their backup plan in Week 3 after watching their star go down...

Chill out bro bro. It looked like Vick was being spun around pretty slowly. He even dropped his hands and seemed to relax his body, probably because he didn't anticipate a huge impact with the ground.

What did him in is that the OL was driving his shoulder towards him, finishing his block. It wasn't Vick's momentum, or that of Vick being driven to the ground, that caused the concussion, it was the impact of the lineman who inadvertently charged his shoulder directly into Vick's chin.

I never said he "let up" I said he got there a split second after the ball was thrown and he wasn't in the process of whipping him into the turf.

At what fucking point did I imply the defender was "letting up"?

                    Fuckin dumbass.

I watched the video. I saw a stumbling defender contacting Vick what seems likes MAYBE thousandths of a second after Vick let go of the football.(Frankly it seems Vick is lucky his arm wasn't hit by this defender while throwing the pass) I then saw this defender go to the ground and start twisting Vick, who had both hands free, away from the play. At this point Vick contacts his own player and the Falcons player then takes his arms off of Vick. How you can assume that the Falcons player would have whipped Vick into the turf, or that Vick would not have been able to stop/brace himself with his arms/hands, or that even if Vicks head did hit the turf that it would have been with enough force to cause a concussion is beyond me.

Kindly STFU and quit bitching faggot.

the best part was when they were talking about the injury.

"We CAN confirm that the blood he was spitting up was simply the result of a bleeding tongue."

OH, it's just that he bit his tongue off, I'm sure he'll be ok!

myself and many millions of fantasy owners worldwide just exhaled a sign of releif that this wasnt the broken ribs/collarbone/neck that we all expect him to get everytime we watch him throw his body around like a kid playing in the sandbox

Hope he gets better soon. Good luck to VY or Kafka, whomever it ends up being.
Philly's o-line needs an upgrade. I think we can agree on that.

Btw, my opinions aren't statements of fact, just observations from my perspective. When I said 'seem' that means that I'm not 100% sure, that's just what it seems like to me. Doesn't mean that's how it is. If the offensive line was any good to begin with, maybe Kolb wouldn't have gotten hurt and opened the door for Vick to come in.
