I've never met one Pitt fan view ND as a rivalry, the only team that we play anymore that is a rivalry game is WVU (Which is probably going to be gone anyways). However, I know a lot of old time ND fans as well as people from around here who view the ND/Pitt game as a rivalry game on the lines of tradition.
Not sure why that get's you guys so butthurt.Comment

The only reason they might view it as a rivalry is because they have to deal with talking shit to Pitt fans after the game.
It's a personnel rivalry for them maybe...but outside of that no one with any sense about college football gives a damn about this game.Comment

Get on board, bruh. I hate the Domers, but I'd welcome them to the conference.
Already have pre-made rivalries like Pitt and BC. You can renew a rivalry with Miami permanently (every two years, maybe). You can schedule your OOC to have Michigan, Michigan State, USC, and the service academies rotate so you maintain those rivalries that should continue to be important to Notre Dame football (schedule a service academy every year, along with one of the other rivals and then fill the remaining OOC with cupcakes).
I think in football, it makes sense. I think in basketball it makes sense. I think academically it makes sense. I think geographically, considering Notre Dame's strong East Coast following, it makes sense.Comment
