Yeah...but Harrison is better than nothing, and I guarantee Harrison comes cheaper than Hoosyourmama.

      idk,

seemingly the colts will be giving up Harrison for nothing if we release him, but its not like we're going to find someone crazy enough to trade with with that kind of contract.

ahhh, it just makes me sick.... I fucking hate the offseason

I've always thought the NFL should have a cap exemption for true franchise players - guys with 10 or more years on one team.

If a team is willing to overpay to keep a guy like Harrison, Ray Lewis (you know, face of the franchise), the league should give them an exemption.

I wouldn't have minded seeing the Titans scoop him up if but for one thing...I can't stand the way Harrison always lays down after the catch. Be a man and take a lick and maybe try for a few extra yards. You never know, you could break one.

I always hated that about Marvin. As great as he has been, I hate watching the "catch and curl up in the fetal position" every other reception.

Eagles tend to have excellent cap management and if they actually want to win a title with McNabb they should stop being cheap.

                why?

he's smaller, and he isn't trying to get hurt.

Harrison never curled up in the fetal position if it was a 3rd down catch or the game was a big game, thats what was great about Marvin, you could tell that when the game was on the line, he was going to do everything in his power to help out the team.

if you watched marvin in the playoffs throughout his career, he would try to do a lot more after the catch the he usually would in the regular season, because he knew the importance of it.

yea, Harrison would lay down on a 9 yard catch on 1rst down when a safety was coming hot to take his head off. big fucking deal.

I have no problem with him going down after a catch. Why not...it probably is the reason he has had a good career for so long because he could avoid the big hit.

Lol! Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you Colts fans with what I said about your boy. I can't help it. It has ALWAYS irked me. I will say this...he made one of the best catches I have ever seen in a game against the Titans about 2 years ago when he went deep down the middle of the field, dove, caught the ball with one hand, and spun around onto his back to reel it in on his way down. Best catch I've ever seen anyone make.

Still not a fan of the "laydowns", though.

Edit: And its not just Marvin...I hate when anyone does it.

Either way, looks like Harrison is gone likely Tuesday or Wednesday.

He's old, slow and hasn't been productive in two seasons.

The guy hasn't reached 1,000 yards in two seasons, combined.

And he refuses to take a pay cut?

he was hurt the year before last year, and only played 4 games, so the two seasons comment makes it seem worse then it is.

but I think what is so surprising is that he fell off so fast, and as a fan, my homer goggles wont allow me to believe he is really done, I think Harrison could come back and do things.

Think about it, how many people have said that people coming back from knee injuries usually need another year to come back and be like they were, the opposite side to this argument is that Harrison isn't getting any younger though. so either way it probably declines.

but as a homer I think he still has some fire in him.
