      Really... first quarter NFL awards?

      Oh ESPN NFL Coverage.

Did they follow it with a top 5 or 10 countdown of some sort?

As a matter of fact they did. The top 10 plays of the first quarter.

Isnt Green Bays defense one of the worst in the league?

I'd give this guy the offensive award.

and I love some Charles Woodson, but Ed Reed has better stats then him thus far...

Yeah kinda hard to justify Woodson when GB is 31st against the pass this year.

Besides, two of Woodson INT's came against a rookie, in one game.

Green Bay's Morgan Burnett has 3 picks, 1 sack, and 33 tackles, plus 5 pass def. compared to Woodson 4 pds. Woodson does have a TD though.

Ok, Chris Houston, on another 4-0 football team. 20 tackles, 6 more than Woodson. 3 INTs and a TD, plus he has 2 more Pass Def. than Woodson...and 48 more INT return yards to boot. And Detroits defense is ranked way higher.

Ed Reed would be another guy I'd consider.

I'm a HUGE Woodson fan BTW. I have more Charles Woodson fanboy crap than any other NFL player. Just saying, he's not the DPO-1/4 IMO.

Nobody plays defense anymore, they should just do away with the defensive player of the year. But if you must award one, every CB in the league is terrible so forget giving it Woodson (whose team can't stop the pass and doesn't play any defense even by 2011 standards, so that's comical to begin with) or any of these other shitty DB's.
