I was perusing the NFL's statistical leaders list, and found some interesting things.
*Alex Smith is the 3rd highest rated QB in the NFL, with a 104.1 rating.
*For all the hype, Cam Newton has the same QB rating as Jason Campbell (84.3).
*Similarly, for all the neg pub, Donovan McNabb still has a higher QB rating than either Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan.
*Josh Freeman is statistically terrible (and otherwise). Despite a stellar 64% completion percentage, he is only the 29th highest rated QB.
*Matt Forte is leading the NFL with 157 yards from scrimmage per game. Wes Welker is second with 151, and his total is nearly all receiving yards. (Fred Jackson is 3rd).
*Saints TE Jimmy Graham is actually 4th in the NFL in receiving yards with 496. Graham is on pace for 1587 receiving yards, which would be the best ever by a TE (Current record - 1290 yards by Kellen Winslow in 1980)
*Pat Angerer of Indy is on pace for 208 tackles this year, and he will lead the rest of the NFL by 51 tackles (nearly 25% more than the 2nd place guy).
