    Redskins to sign Haynesworth!??

This time around he tells me that the Washington Redskins will break the bank to sign Albert Haynesworth. The Titans could come over the top of the Redskins deal as well, but my guess is that the Redskins will let Haynesworth get the best offer possible from the Titans and then "better deal" it.

My source tells me to look for a contract that could break $100 million with an average of $15 million to $16 million per. My guy is almost never wrong and Dan Snyder gets what he wants. As a Texan fan, I would really be devastated to see Haynesworth leave the division ... only, no I wouldn't. Beat it, Haynesworth.

Citing a "very well-connected league source," Lance Zierlein of the Houston Chronicle reports that Albert Haynesworth will sign with the Redskins at the start of free agency unless the Titans swoop in late.

Zierlein, the son of Steelers OL coach Larry Zierlein, has a blog at Chron.com and does a radio show. His source says Haynesworth will get a deal totaling roughly $100 million that pays $15-16 million annually. Zierlein doesn't usually report and it's hard to see how the Skins will fit him under the salary cap, but this is the kind of megadeal Haynesworth is seeking. Feb. 24 - 1:44 pm et

Good riddance, i love how Washington always overspends and the majority of the time it doesnt work out.

A fat DT in his 8th season who is always injured isnt worth an average of 15 mil per year. He is a dominant player but not worth 15 mil per year you could get two really good DTs for that IMO

Whoever pays for him is gonna regret it. Anytime a player like Haynesworth has a career year in his "contract" season red flags should go up. He is gonna go back to his slug-like ways of playing once he recieves his $$$$$

He has been that 2x in 7 years, both were contract years. He's never played more than 13 games in a season. He is constantly hurt and even in games where is he obviously wrecking shit he still comes out for up to half a quarter at times with injuries. I think the best thing the titans couldve done wouldve been to just franchise him every year ( if thats possible, i dont know if there are limits to how many times you can franchise someone). He played very well when he didnt have a guaranteed contract after that season.

I'm confused on why the Redskins would sign Haynesworth to such a deal, because I don't see how signing him makes the team any better to the point where signing him gets this team over the top. As a matter of fact outside of a QB I can't think of any reason to sign a player to a contract like that.

And so Dan Snyder and Al Davis continue their battle to see who can fuck up their teams payroll the most.
