Here is an excerpt:
I was expecting this to be a slam job on Rodriguez and an inside look at the corruption...but instead it appears that the book is taking Rodriguez's side in the matter, even though his actions are indefensible.
Rodriguez held illegal practices, and, to make things worse, he wasn't even smart enough to falsify the records. He simply never filled out the CARA paperwork, so when he was investigated, there was absolutely no evidence of Rodriguez following the rules. The book even goes so far as to take swipes at Lloyd Carr's tenure at UM by claiming it was dirty. Huh? Anyways...so why didn't Rodriguez fill out the paperwork? Here is what Rodriguez said: "I said, on the record, that U-M compliance should know exactly what they were doing, since they were there for plenty of the practices". WTF? How can the author allow this to pass without out some sort of further questioning?
The book claims that Michigan lost a game to Michigan State because the Michigan players were interviewed during the week by NCAA investigators.
All in all, looks like a terrible read.
