Dolphins also close to resigning Yeremiah Bell. So safety tandem would be Wilson at FS, Bell at SS.

This signing came out of no where and its great news. I don't see Bell coming back now but no biggie with Gibril Wilson being 4 years younger with similar tackling abilities and better ball skills.

Both players are good enough against the pass to make it a good combination. If they do bring back Bell Miami will have two very good tackling safeties.
The deal is for 5 years 27.5 million with $8 million guranteed and 16.5 million in the deal's first three years.

Bell and Wilson to me are an ideal combo for a defense. They are both large & physical enough to come down in the box and play run, but also agile and fast enough to cover TE's and RB's in the open field. In essence there will be no "FS" and "SS". Just 2 safeties. Renaldo Hill, who is almost a lock to not get resigned now, wasn't any more a true FS than Bell was either.Comment

Awesome move, I don't know who said it, but I also agree that Bell and Wilson are great combined. You nailed it on the head when you said they're physical enough to box the run and agile enough to defend the air.
Great stuff Miami, looking forward to see if they end up pulling Brown early tonight.Comment
