Pete Morelli is the worst ref in the NFL

How he is still employed is beyond me. I first noticed this twat when he made the worst call in NFL history, overturning a playoff-clinching INT by Steeler Troy Polamalu against the Colts. Over the years, I've seen him assigned to numerous Ravens-Steelers games, and when he's the ref these games end up being bloodbaths. He inexplicably was allowed to ref the NFC championship game a couple years ago (Saints-Vikes), and the game was marred by missed late hit penalties and bad calls.

Yesterday, Morelli's crew was clueless. Terrible officiating all the way around. The calls on turnover plays were ridiculous. The whole sequence of Jennings INT return was a joke...

    1) Jennings is OBVIOUSLY down by contact. I kept waiting for the whistle to blow after Jennings got up and started to run. I think the players on both teams hesitated because they thought the play was over.

    2) Moore makes a beeline to Stafford to try to take him out, but ends up getting his ass kicked instead. Stafford grabbing Moore by the helmet and flinging him to the ground is a pretty easy penalty call. But no call made.

    3) At the end of the play, two Lions players drill Jennings when he is a good 2-3 steps out of bounds. No penalty call, no comment from the announcers, nothing.

    4) Melee breaks out. Moore smashes into Stafford. Players from the Lions Defense are leaving the sidelines to enter the fray. Mayhem.

    5) Things cool down. Morelli gets on the microphone to explain the outcome...and..."the Lions are challenging the ruling on the field"....thats it?! No mention of penalties? No mention of ejections? Not even a lame "off-setting penalties" call on Stafford & Moore?

    6) When Morelli does address the issue...the call is personal foul and ejection of Moore. Huh? No late hit on Jennings out of bounds? No penalty on Stafford for the headlock toss and starting the whole thing? No ejections of the Lions players that ran in from the bench to join the fight?

Bit off topic, but I wanna see if there are any fines giving out.

Stafford should get one, and thus take Freeman's starting spot in the "All Fine" team.

That entire sequence was a fucking joke.

Did Moore deserve the ejection? Yeah.... but there were at least two more blatent penalties that were missed on the play.

I thought the personal foul call on Briggs was ridiculous too, considering there were no flags thrown on either Peppers or Suh for their clothesline tackles.

The Bears cornerback D.J. Moore was fined twice as much as Stafford was even though he initiated it.

I think the NFL purposely puts this asshole on Steelers/Ravens games, because the NFL hypes the game as a bloodbath.

Then they let our QB get fucking worked for 60 minutes and don't call shit. BRB getting my nose broke, but no pentalty for blow to the head, while James Harrison has to pay "ONE MILLION DOLLARS" - Dr Evil for hits...

                Fuck that crew.

How do you think a flag should have been thrown there?

I was at that Vikings/Saints game and even the Saints fans couldn't believe the missed calls. They were happy though since the majority worked in their favor.

Quit your bitchin (about pittsburgh...morelli may be the worst ref in the history of refs, but leave the homerism to ray)

Uh, blow to the QB's head is a personal foul. I'm at work right now and don't have access to youtube, but I can post a video of Manning barely getting grazed and a 15 yarder called.

Unless you're suggesting the face isn't part of the head, in which case you should refer to my previous question, and answer that you are in fact a retard.

The video I posted is of Ngata's sack of Ben last year. Is that the play where he suffered the broken nose?

Angle may not even be clear cause it doesn't look like he gets hit in the face. Maybe the broke nose came on an earlier play.

I can't watch the video. In the play I'm talking about, Ngata's hand struck Ben through his facemask, and hit him in the face.

That is a blow to the head right? A blow to the head of a QB is a personal foul right?
