Coming from a proponant of a playoff system and the "BCS is the suxors" camp this argument is laughable.

BCS sucks to pick the 2 best OVERALL teams in the country out of 120 teams, not to pick the 2 best teams inside a 12 team conference

I knew FirstTimer would be an asshole but i didnt expect everyone else to be so outraged by my idea.

I just don't see the logic behind it. The SEC CG is for the rare case that there are two teams that don't get to play during the season, and to turn Atlanta into an SEC convention for three days out of the year. It is not there to ensure that the two best teams play.

More often than not the two best teams will have already settled it on the field by then. In the rare case that they haven't (undefeated Alabama vs. undefeated Florida, 2009), it's a perfect set up.
