The problem is that the CARTEL system is completely inflexible in some areas, yet entirely subjective in others. It reminds me of those Tyler Palko Pitt teams that would go 7-5 and play in the Fiesta Bowl because they "won" the Big East. Why? If you have the power to essentially chose the 'national champion', then why can't you give me a decent Fiesta Bowl matchup?
      The Pac12 isn't actually terrible.

Its just their two best teams are in the same side and the best team in the South in banded.

Out of their Top 3 schools, only one gets pushed.

Then they have a bunch of middle of the road teams.

I think the middle-of-the-road teams in the PAC12 are terrible. ASU is overrated, as usual. I don't understand how anyone loses to UCLA...they got destroyed by a Texas team that has trouble scoring in double-digits, and their offense is inept. Cal has been a big disappointment. Utah was supposed to add toughness to the PAC10, but they have been no more than average.

        JMO.

Winning the Pac-12 is deserving of a BCS berth. UCLA just has no business being in the Pac-12 title game.

I agree the Big East doesnt deserve a BCS berth though.

You n I have different definitions of terrible, I guess.

As a bett0r, I've watched plenty of terrible this year.

Want to know what terrible looks like in a major conference...

Watch Indiana or Kansas or Texas Tech after the Oklahoma win or Ole Miss or Kentucky...or if you really want to gouge your eyes out, watch Colorado if the Pac12 tickles your fancy.

That's not even discussing the dregs like FAU or Akron that are on another level of terrible.

Oregon, Stanford, and USC are all legit teams, after that its a huge dropoff. Due to the division format its gonna be a very shitty pac-12 title game, with the possibility of a very shitty Pac-12 winner if UCLA wins.

              My revised solution: http://www.virtualsportsdaily.com/fo...&postcount=149

Under my scenario the Pac-12 title game would be Stanford @ Oregon.

In a couple of years there will be no more automatic qualifiers. The BCS will only decide the National Championship.

Arizona State was a good, solid team for 3/4 of the season...then they took a nose dive.

Why would I want to see Stanford v. Oregon, AGAIN?

You're clearly bothered about UCLA being in the title game, so what matchup would you rather see?

UCLA won't even make the title game. It'll be ASU or Utah.

I have no problem with UCLA playing in the title game...I just lol @ the end result if UCLA or Utah somehow beats Oregon.

The best matchup would be an Oregon v. USC rematch, but USC is paying the price.

If you dont wanna see a rematch of Oregon/Stanford, why would you wanna see a rematch of Oregon/USC?

Because that game wasn't even close?

Arizona State needs to beat Cal (not exactly a given) and UCLA to lose to USC (very possible).

But, let's be honest...the difference between ASU, Utah, and UCLA is minimal...they all are very average at this point, 8-4/7-5 teams...the end result of the OP is the same.

                              lulz @ THE CARTEL

Because Oregon will win the North and USC will win the South and the first game between the two was a very competitive game.
