I've said for years...8 team playoff.
First Round of Games Played at Bowl Game Sites by conference/traditional affiliation, to maintain the "integrity" aka the "greed" of the Bowl Games.
Rose Bowl - Winner of Big 10 v. Winner of Pac 10
Fiesta Bowl - Winner of Big 12 v. Wild Card
Sugar Bowl - Winner of SEC v. Winner of Big East
Orange Bowl - Winner of ACC v. Wild Card
All of these Games take place on New Years Day.
I'd then allow the second round of games to take place at neutral sites the following week and finally the BCS championship game to rotate at the site of one of the Bowl sites (the week after)
That should take care of ALL participants...schools, greedy bowl fucks, the BCS, et al and still hold the integrity of a playoff.Comment

Because not every thread about the NCAA or BCS needs to generate into some massive plan for a solution, you fuck face.

USC is banned from the postseason, so you wanting them in the Pac-12 title game makes zero sense.Comment

Conference champions are crowned in the exact way they are now. Division Winners play one another, or, if they don't have 12+ teams, traditional winners of the conference. All of these games are determined BY THE CONFERENCES THEMSELVES. Which is how it should be. Fuck governing bodies.
And, I never said I wanted them in the Pac12 title game, I said that would be the best/ most deserving team in the game, however I've acknowledged that they aren't going to be in the game...I've said I have no problem with UCLA/ASU/Utah playing in the game, as, they are deserving according the rules in place, and it allows the game to be determined on the field, not via computers or rankings.
This is why people troll you...you don't follow conversation.Comment

I think ZB just kind of semi-trolls trying to get someone to say they support the BCS so he can fly off the handle now that JHight is gone.
He's like the guy who gets dumped by a girl, then immediately starts dating another girl by the same name to try and mask the pain and act as though it never happenedComment

If the BCS Bowl "system" is the only way to determine a national champion, get rid of automatic bids. Pretty simple. And its something I suggested earlier in this thread, which you ignored. To compare it to basketball, it would be like having a system where the ACC winner automatically gets a #1 seed every year, even if a 19-12 Maryland ends up winning the ACC tournament. That idea would be shat upon to no end...yet its accepted in college football.Comment

If UCLA wins the Pac12 Championship, they won't play in the National Title Game...same with...Georgia winning the SEC...much like the a 19-12 Maryland team getting a 7 seed come bracket time.
If you don't win your conference, you shouldn't be playing the BCS Championship Game...it will look like its happening this year, its happened in the past, its a fatal flaw of this system. Under no circumstance should Alabama play in the National Title Game when they skip the SEC Title Game all together...much like Nebraska should have never gone to the National Title Game over Oregon after they lost to Colorado in the Big 12 Title Game...same Oregon team that beat 5 ranked teams that year...only losing to the #16 Stanford team (and crushed that Colorado team).
Silly shit...its what happens when you have a computer come up with something...its like a Madden generated season having a 2012 Super Bowl of the Jacksonville Jaguars v. Minnesota Vikings.Comment
