Titans line needs to get their shit together for the sake of one of my fake football squads.

There were 3 or 4 people in the backfield every time he touched the ball. Even the best of runningbacks wouldn't have gotten much more than what Johnson did today. The offensive line has been one of the worst in the league in run blocking ever since Kevin Mawae left after 2009 (2000-yard season). Johnson's speed has taken a hit since then, but the line just isn't the same and misses the nasty streak it used to play with without Mawae in there. Hutchinson looked bad, Harris is beyond useless in both faucets of the game, Velasco was making his first career start lining up across Vince Wilfork and even Roos was getting his lunch handed to him by Chandler Jones.

Some of the blame can be put on Johnson, but most of the blame should be put on the people in front of him and you all would see the same if you actually watched a game.
Hutch was a bad signing- over the hill, lost a lot over the past year. I think the Titans were relying on him to be a game changer and that's just not him anymore.

As far as CJ, I think the Titans line was overmatched, but CJ is not a guy who is going to keep going after contact regardless. There are few RBs who would have succeeded in yesterdays game. It's got to be a guy who loves to get hit and can move the pile.

The Patriots easily have one of the best run defenses in the NFL now, so don't read too much into this. The Patriots have three MLB'ers in there (Hightower/Spikes/Mayo) and also have a very steady defensive line. Going to be very tough for teams to run on them this year, but that is okay since most teams will just pass for 399 yards against them.

Kevan Barlow thinks CJ still has it.

Figured this could use a bump.

            Over the past five games:
            652 rushing yards
            6.7 yards per carry
4 touchdowns (2 more touchdown vultured by Jamie Harper)
2 scores of 80 yards or more

Today he put up a 23/126/1 effort on the third ranked run defense and a unit that had not allowed a 100-yard rusher in the last 22 games.

He's not quite as quick as he was in 2009, but everyone that thought he was done can probably eat crow now. CJ2K is just fine.

He's looked good too. Initiating a lot of contact and battling for extra yardage. Classic CJ
