Can't really blame him. I don't follow them really at all nor do I see many of their games but given what you presented in this thread, I think he deserved one more year.

The Illinois AD has interviewed the Badgers OC. Paul Christ (sp?)
He looks to be the favorite, and from hearing about Wisco for the past couple years, is very highly regarded amongst the Badgers. I think he would make sense, considering he is the complete opposite of Zook when it comes to gameday.Comment

I am sure that is the 100th job on Leach's wish list. Sorry, taters. I think Wazzu should have given Wulff one more shot, it's not like they have a guarantee that they'll upgrade. It will be very hard to find someone with credibility and a name who would actually want that jerb.Comment

Cryst has been a rising star in the coaching world for a while now... I'm very surprised Texas didn't go after him and not Harsin last year.Comment

btw - Chryst, for a B1G team, would be my #1 target. Illinois should throw the house at him. They can get talent for his style of football at Illinois (as opposed to Indiana, that had a job opening last year)...
Penn State, too...but it seems they want someone with head coaching experience. I think he'd be a nice fit with how Penn State plays football.Comment

Texas did go after him, but once the Pitt HC job came up he became interested in that instead. Texas moved on rather than wait around for that to resolve itself.Comment

Sherman might be on his way out. He has cancelled his "in house" visits to recruits. He would get a buyout of $8 million.Comment

Larry Fedora and Clemson OC Chad Morris (an A&M grad) could be in the picture.
Honestly, I think it's lunacy for A&M to fire Sherman. They just need to force him to hire an OC.Comment
