Denver @ Minnesota - NFL Game of the Year

    What a fantastic game.

Young, exciting, compelling players on both side of the ball, with Percy Harvin & Joe Webb lining up all over the place and making plays, Christian Ponder throwing for 380 yards, and of course, Tebow.

Tebow was nothing short of spectacular. What was great about Tebow on this day, was the fact that he only ran the ball four times. Minnesota shut down the Denver run attack early, and challenged Tebow to win with his arm. Tebow made big throw after big throw in the second half, many under pressure or while escaping the rush. When Minnesota badly blew two coverages, Tebow delivered two gorgeous passes, one for a TD, and another for a huge gain at the end of regulation which led to the tie.

And was there really and doubtn that Tebow was going to convert the game tying 2-pt conversion? The two most dangerous red zone QB's in the league are Cam Newton & Tebow.

I loved the way Minnesota was using Harvin & Webb. Ponder had his way with Denver, who were without Von Miller, and Tebow kept the pace, completely blowing up the flawed idea that the offense was too limited under his direction to win when allowing more than 20 points.

Easily the best game I've seen all year, exciting from gun to gun with fun to watch young players and exciting big plays.

Great point. These two have been extremely dangerous in the red zone.

Tebow is making this season exciting.

Yea, this was a real exciting game to watch. Best Viking game all season for sure even tho we came up short. Ponder making those mistakes should eventually disappear as he is a smart kid, he'll learn from his mistakes.

I'm really comfortable with Ponder being our QB for years to come. Vikes should get a TOP 5 pick next year if not the 2nd overall. I'd like the Vikes to pick up some OL help or a playmaker in the secondary. Blackmon in our WR corp sounds nice too.

i thought the vikes should have let denver score after the bronco's got that first down and the vikes used their last t/o. the vikes couldn't stop the clock and denver could have just kneeled it and let the clock run down.

when you're 2-9 give your offense a chance to tie and force overtime. don't hope for a turnover or a missed fg. the idea of not letting a team score doesn't matter when you're season is over already just seems to conservative to me.

Demaryius Thomas finally showing flashes of what he can do as well.

Too bad AP wasn't healthy or the game could have been even better. If that's possible.

I've been saying it since he started his first game, Ponder has it, and Minnesota has a great young quarterback on its hands. I HATE the vikings, I wouldn't say this if it wasn't really obvious, but the guy is going to be starting in this league alot longer than Matt Stafford will.

People forget that Ponder was a 4th down conversion from beating the Packers in their first game. Frazier didn't trust him and thought his defense could get the ball back, but James Starks finished the game off. To date, Ponder has come the closest to defeating Green Bay of any other quarterback. This makes the McNabb trade even more ludicrous as they already had a superior player on the roster.

Only to be outdone by the Giants and Packers.

A true rarity...the NFL having TWO good football games IN ONE DAY!?!!?

                  Surely they jest.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the Broncos/Vikings game, but for some reason that Giants/Packers game had a playoff vibe to it for me. Definitely the most exciting and nerve-wracking game i've watched all season.

I was very pleased with how Ponder played Sunday, minus the two bone-headed interceptions. It was also nice to see the Vikings offensive line giving Ponder more than a second and a half to make a throw. A skilled deep threat or a stud LT will greatly help this offense next season.

I haven't seen much of Denver this season, but for all the hate Tebow receives from media-types, he makes plays when his team needs them and doesn't seem to make terrible mistakes that cost his teams games. I'm slowly becoming a fan of his.

Very exciting game, was thrilled to watch it.

Allow me to now point out that the Vikings were missing three starting DBs.

It was definitely exciting, but sometimes you know you're watching an inferior product when the offenses are scoring so quickly. Not that many people will get this reference, but this game was almost a mirror image of the Wolves/Sunderland game earlier that day.
