Adam Schefter keeps saying that there is a "Team X" invloved. He says the Chiefs might not even get Cassel. He does know that a trade has been agreed to. Agreed to does mean the trade is complete. This sounds a little weird.

Celtsxpatsxsox is right. He is apart of the roster. They can trade whatever they want for him.

Oh if MM was only alive for just a couple weeks longer.

I coulda used the multi quote I had saved for this moment.

First I was dumb for thinking they'd tag him, then I was totally wrong for thinking anyone would trade for Cassel.

        HA!

Can't wait to see what we got!

Not sure that's a great description. The Patriots tagged Cassel, which means if another team tries to sign him without first negotiating a trade with the Pats, then New England gets two first-round picks. But New England is free to trade Cassel for less than that. The two first-round picks thing just protects New England from some other team negotiating and offering Cassel a contract.
Thats what the thrid team is for. So NE can get a later pick in the draft. But an NFLN they said that Cassel and the third pick is going somewhere.

What I said about the franchise tag was right. You only have to give up two firsts if they dont accept the franchise tag offer (ex Julius Peppers). Once they accept the franchise tag offer basically arent "franchised" anymore and are a normal part of the team.

If the Lions dealt their first pick for Cassel, I'm going to kill someone. We had better not be the fucking mystery team.

This is what I think "team x" is. Cassel is most likely going to the chiefs and the third pick is going somewhere. New England might get a later first round pick and a second or a third from "team x" and "team x" would get the third overall.

Lions might be the mystery team to acquire the 3rd pick by giving up there second 1st round pick and maybe there second round pick.

I guess we will see if Cassel is the real deal or not.If the Chief's trade the #3 pick, they are idiots.

Cassel isn't worth a first round pick period...

so no one is going to trade their first round pick for him unless they are retarded.

second round pick is pushing it, and third round pick is more likely of all of them.

I could definitely live with that.

The Patriots believe Cassel will be the next best quarterback in the NFL. I think he is well worth a first round pick.

                                of course they do,

they're trying to get whatever they can out of him because they know they are getting their REAL quarterback this season.

Cassel won't do much when he leaves NE, that High Powered offense helped him look a lot better then he actually is.
