A ref standing next to the coach waiting with a whistle in his mouth for the coaches word is just so fuckin stupid.

Allowing coaches to calla time out with a ref whos usually 25+ yards away from the friggin ball is retarded. The last 5-6 years have seen numerous games decided by timeouts. Either go back to players calling it or make an under 5/10 second restriction where it cant be called at that point. Most tense part of any football game being turned into some stupid T.O/meaningless kick/Re Kick sequence.

I've been saying for the last three or four years (or whenever it became trendy) that it's a gimmick that ruins the integrity of the game. It makes a mockery of the end of games, and it's long overdue that the league puts in a "under 5" rule (or something similar) for timeouts on kick attempts.

Sure they should make a rule prohibiting timeouts under 5 seconds or so on FG tries, but damn am I glad there's no rule yet!

I absolutely hate the Cowboys, but I agree with you. These gimmick timeouts are incredibly stupid. Frankly, if I were the rule czar, they would be banned.

That said, I'm glad the Cowgirls lost.
